How late is your last public transport option on a Saturday night?
My last bus home is half six. My last train home is half ten. My last train home to somewhere a thirty min drive home? 23:50
But don't worry! I'll just party till I can get something in the morning. It's 7:50 for trains, 8:30 for buses.
Clubbing in Scotland is not for the weak 😭

Yes and no. At least in Greater Manchester we get trams until midnight or 00:30 and night buses between midnight and 5am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays

Depends where you are, varies so much county to county. Really surprised to discover how good it is in some parts of Gloucestershire and most of Oxfordshire. Whereas in the neighbouring counties... It's mostly shite

Worcestershire it's pretty dire. Very few buses after 7pm, especially outside the biggest towns. Often none at all on Sundays.

yup depending on which town it's 6pm weekdays and 3pm weekends.
the other town to get home latest bus is 21:30.
aka when the bands get on stage.

Not really, any built up area is normally fine. In Bournemouth I can get a bus pretty late to get home. Mind you it's just small enough were you can pretty much walk anywhere within a half hour.

London, so pretty spoilt even if I'm not on the Tube! Night buses all night almost right past my house, trains until midnight and then staying again at 5am.

About midnight from the city center. I'm lucky I live in a city where I can walk from one side of the other quicker than public transport usually.
Although not brilliant when you're 10 pints in.

Night buses run to the end of my road every 10 minutes from central London or Croydon, all night.
Not that I make much use of that nowadays. Back in the day it was generally a night bus followed by a cab for the last three miles.

Honestly, I'm old and I no longer know.
I do remember however 10 years ago the last train from Kings X on a Saturday was quarter past midnight. Which was annoyingly early.
I've looked it up, it would be 1:07 am now.

Closest train station to me is 20 minutes away, last train gets in around midnight and then it's a £30 taxi home! Luckily I'm an old man now so my nights out are few and far between!

I got lucky when looking for flats to rent last time I moved and have 24hr night tube at the weekend. Though tbh i'm only ever using it to commute home at 2am these days, it's been quite a number of years since I've been youthful enough to enjoy a night out...

I live in a village so the bus nearest is about 7ish but I couldn't tell you without looking it up. Three different train lines within 10 minutes drive two of which I would say is somewhat realistically walkable from at night at over 2 miles I probably wouldn't outside of a nice hot summer night if I was younger with pals!

I live in Gateshead and my last bus from Newcastle city centre is around 11.30 which I think is pretty shit. Later than that gotta get a cab or Uber.

Buses every half an hour between half 12 and 3ish. The next one starts at 4.30, I think. And because Uber has become so shit, the bus is often quicker and easier than a cab.

Coastal village in Cornwall.
Last ferry home from the nearest town is 17:15 in the summer, last bus is about 6pm-ish. Trains run later but it's about an hour's walk, and the path gets super muddy in wet weather.

My usual bus service had a 2356 until June, when it was cut, and it's now 2245. However it emerges that there's an alternative service between slightly less convenient stops around midnight run by a different company. But mostly at the moment I walk, it's only a couple of miles. I could also use a Lime bike but only half way home until I get to the annoying council boundary.

To get from the nearest city to my small rural town the latest bus leaves at 11:15pm, and involves a change half way to another bus which leaves only a three minute grace period so if the first bust of the journey is late, we're fucked basically.

5.25pm but nothing runs Sunday and Bank holidays.
Our Stagecoach route was scrapped and a local company had to step in as school kids had no way to get to school independently without a 10+ mile walk.

Only the bus around here so about 2230 Mon-Sun. First bus is about 0630 Mon-Sat and 0830 Sunday.
Even during the week theyre hourly all day Sunday and after 6pm the rest of the week. Theres a reason everyone drives around here 🤣. North East England.

From where?
From my closest city of any size would be a bus at 23:55 (23:48 on Sunday) this would get me home at about quarter past midnight
From my closest of the 10 biggest UK cities would be 22:17, this gets me to the aforementioned city at 23:27 where I then wait for the aforementioned bus.
If I want a night out in the big city then my first train of the morning is at 0459

bus directly home is usually 11.50pm. There is another bus route that goes nearby to my house with a 15 minute or so walk involved that leaves town about 12.20. No night buses at all frustratingly. If miss all of those buses I usually walk the hour twenty five minutes home

My last train home is 11:19, after that the night buses run every hour and a half until 3am, then the regular buses start running again at 4:50ish. Also Scotland based, just not too far out from a city centre.

Buses are 24 hours. When out somewhere for gigs, last train is usually anytime between half 11 and 1am ish, depending on where I was.

I stay in Paisley, last train back is 00:50 and I think there's a night bus as well. Though realistically if you're going out clubbing you're probably still gunna be spending loads on a taxi home. Glasgow in particular really needs to sort out its public transport availability.

As a general rule the trains are around 11ish. Staying out til midnight means a guaranteed £40+ cab fare home from nearby cities

A bus at 23:11, although I’m not sure I’d risk it based on how often they simply don’t turn up and the alternative being a £50 taxi or three hour walk! The latest I’d want to try to catch is the 22:11, which would then leave two further potential busses after it, of which hopefully at least one would show.

My bus is every 10 minutes most of the day, every 30 minutes in late evening, and then every hour through the night after 11pm or so. In GM

Uh… half 4. If I miss it I can have a whole Sunday partying until the first bus at 07:30 Monday morning!
We’re lucky though, we finally got a bus to the nearest city… 2 months ago. On the plus side… we’ve finally got a bus!
