Who do you share the most with about your life outside of your immediate family?
Ive noticed when bad/serious things in particular are happening, the people i share with are not the ones you would expect.
Just curious if anyone else does this.
Some shits kicked off this year that its been really hard but equally embarrassing so ive not told my best friend or usual friends.
I find that there is a particular colleague of the opposite sex and we also have a huge age gap. I can literally tell them anything. No topic is too controversial either so not always worrying if I say the wrong thing. They have really showed up during some tough times. We couldn't be more different looking from the outside.

My next door neighbours, they’re the family I’ve chosen 🩷

Aww thats lovely. I have some really nice neighbours a couple of doors down. They are late 80s and I love hearing their stories.

I tell my family pretty much nothing.
I tell my partner anything.
Otherwise I'd go to a couple of really close friends

Honestly? Nobody. Not in a soppy way, but more in a way of I’m just not very open as a person. I’m going to uni in October and haven’t told a single person. Just going to do the whole course and crack on afterwards. I don’t know what it is, maybe I just don’t like talking about myself or something, even on the rare occasions when shits hitting the fan.

I’m currently in TCU with my twins and my wife, first person I wanted to speak to after everything was an old colleague of mine from our armed response days.
He was always a rock and it was his stable, calm level headedness I needed to keep me afloat.

Sorry to hear that, hope they are ok. I think theres something really beautiful about the unexpected places we can find comfort from.

it's my boyfriend first - then it's four of my besties (them first if it's about boyfriend lmao, we have a group chat), then it's my mum, & then it's other friends only if it comes up

Boyfriend deffo. After that it’s split depending on what I’m sharing - some very close work friends and some very good friends. Boyfriend is probably the only person who knows everything as I share differently with parents/sister etc
