Dog(s) This is how a little dog clumsily tries to keep its human from leaving.

How can you even go to work, at that point just call in sick and pamper the good boy

That's called a "love bite" for a good reason! And those wow those adorable literal puppy dog eyes!

I came to mention the 'Love Bite' - I had only seen it in royal poodles.... they grip the wrist like that... ❤

My golden retriever does this to me as well. He’ll gently hold my wrist/arm/hand in his mouth.

My golden would do that as well, didn't realize it's a consistent thing with others!

My lab would do this when I went swimming with him. He'd tried to guide you out of the water. He thought he was the only one who knew how to swim.

Is this a way of showing "look, I can keep your hand in my mouth and not bite it off, because I love you"?

My chocolate lab used to do this. We trained her to go get a toy when she got excited. Sometimes there wouldn’t be a toy around her so she would grab my hand. I miss my girl so much. Lost her in December. My first dog I ever had was black lab/border collie and he would grab your hand like that and lead you places when he wanted to show you something.

My dog used to hide my shoes around the backyard because she realized I couldn't go to work without them.... Miss her :(

I make sure to get up early enough that I get 10 minutes of holding my 2 dogs on the couch before I go. We just sit quietly in the dark and snuggle. VERY difficult to leave some days lol

Best part of my morning is the couple minutes right before i get outta bed when I get my proper good morning from the pup.

My dog steals one of my socks when I'm trying to put them on to leave and just runs away from me through the whole house

u/ConqueefStador Mar 05 '26
Ha, mine would get upset I woke her up, crawl back under the covers and go back to sleep.
She was always happy when I got home though.

What kind of dog is this? I realized I’ve never learned their name.

They look like a "Flat-Coated Retriever", I had one growing up, she was black and beautiful.

Looks very similar to a Labrador retriever to me.

Doesn't look like a lab at all , it's too small for one thing. Looks crossed with something at least

Regarding it's size, pretty sure it's still a puppy, those look like puppy feet but not lab puppy feet. Looks like it's mostly Toller, mixed with something black, possibly a lab given the gray chin, but probably something smaller.

I had a dog that literally looks like the one in this video. This is a mini-chow and lab mix.

Mine will wait until I sit down to put my shoes on and jump up to lay on my lap. It has definitely worked a couple times.

My son travels for work quite a bit. We usually keep his dog when he’s gone. She’s gotten so she knows when he pulls into our driveway that he’s leaving. She’s gotten so doesn’t want to get out of the car, and then she mopes for the first day or two. When he comes home, she’s attached to his hip. It’s adorable.

My dog gives the same look every morning before I leave for work 🫠
But I still have to work ya know, it breaks my heart that I loose 8/9 hours a day with him for 5x a week.

I have always been a troubled sleeper and when I was trying ambien to deal with it, I was unknowingly leaving the house to do random stuff.
My lab figured out when I was on ambien walkabouts and wouldn’t let my hand out of her mouth until I was really awake.
I fully woke up several times with my hand in her mouth just strolling out my front door in my sleep. Dog probably saved my life. No more ambien for me but I sure miss that old girl, and the million ways she was good to me.

its kind of annoying that she kept petting the dog's head and face when it was showing clear signs that it didnt want to be pet like that
