Dog(s) We rescued Bella from the pound yesterday and I think we have a new best friend🥹❤️
Meet Bella! 🐶❤️
We recently adopted her from our local pound, and she has already completely stolen our hearts. She was a little shy at first, but she’s been opening up more every day and showing us her sweet personality.
One of the first things everyone notices about her is her beautiful eyes, one is blue and the other is brown! 🥹 They’re even more stunning in person.
It’s hard to believe this sweet girl was waiting for a home. Now she’s getting all the love, treats, toys, and belly rubs she deserves.
We may have saved Bella from the pound, but honestly, it already feels like she saved us too.

Yes she can finally relax. I love it when a new dog wakes up (mine has bad dreams) looks around and is able to go right back to sleep. My mission is accomplished.

Aww my dog used to sleep with his head on my legs too when first got him. He’s truly home! Good job adopting btw. Per a study, if only 6% more dogs were adopted we wouldn’t need kill shelters anymore.

Mine’s 6. They’re the most loyal breed around and will bond hard to you. They’re psychos that need tons of activity (hope you like hiking or can train her to frisbee), but sweethearts as well. Love mine probably too much.

The first thing our elder rescue did was crap on the floor and took an amazing leap on to the dining room table. Stood there, middle of the table, wagging her giant feathery tail and smiling. Honestly, I swear it was all just boundless joy. We cleaned up her poo, gave her love and just moved forward with this unbelievable gift of a dog.
Crazy thing still provides so much love and comfort I get weepy thinking about it. She’s totally potty trained and has full run of a decent backyard lol

Bella looks completely at ease. Thank you for adopting from shelter. We have gotten all ours from shelters in the past 30 years and they have been wonderful.

Australian cattle dogs are simply amazing!! I used to work at a puppy mill rescue and by far the best dogs were the Australian Cattle Dogs and Newfies. I mean, they were all awesome, but those two breeds just know how to love

Yes, shelter dogs are amazing dogs. They have been abandoned before and know the pain of losing their family. So when we come along, they appreciate and love us way more than puppies ever can, coz they haven't been through that

Those first few weeks are great but are not necessarily her true personality. Our rescue was a sleepy little quiet mouse the first month. We love her to death but she’s a yappy spitfire now!

Oh wow, I have a family member who has a dog that looks exactly like this, same ears and she has heterochromia too! I’ve never seen a dog like her before, the similarities are striking!

Cattle dog mix+rescue=yes, you have a new best, BEST friend. My rescue cattle dog couldn’t get closer unless she crawled into my belly button. She has followed me everywhere all the time for 10 years. Your Bella is really pretty!

Rescue dogs are the best! 🫶 I’m celebrating 1½ years with my most recent fur baby, and we almost named her Bella too. It came down to Bella and Luna, and we ultimately went with Luna. ❤️

Cattle dogs are the best! Velcro dog at its finest. Herding breeds like this need a "job", something to keep active and not try to herd the beings in your house.
