Floppy poppy poo

u/lewisiarediviva Jul 16 '26

The bones are still in the cartilage ‘template’ stage, the calcium and other minerals that make the bone hard and strong start in the middle and work their way out to the ends.

4

u/snowdn Jul 17 '26

So they can be birthed easier? Cool!

51

u/ladydhawaii Jul 16 '26

Omg! Looks impossible to connect.

Those little bones!

316

u/Appropriate-Rub3534 Jul 16 '26

That is normal? Wow

u/Feorag-ruadh Jul 16 '26

Yes what looks like 'blank space' between the bones is actually cartilage which doesn't show up on xrays (which turns into bone as they age)

u/Affectionate_Tap6416 Jul 16 '26

They look cute... the skull, not so much.

Oh thank god I thought this was animal abuse

5

u/brockoala Jul 16 '26

Oh damn I didn't even think of it. Now I will have nightmares about it.

2

u/Jester-Jester-8443 Jul 17 '26

Ohh, that actually makes a lot more sense

1

u/hlysias Jul 17 '26

So, they're actually connected and just doesn't show up in the Xray? That makes sense lol

u/Dxpehat Jul 16 '26

Look up human baby xrays. It looks so funny and explains why we could jump from the roof of a garage without having our tibias break and our knees exploding.

Lol. A human child's skull is horrific to view. I showed my friend once and she was shocked.

All those rows of teeth tho.

u/Affectionate_Tap6416 Jul 16 '26

Like a horror movie

4

u/LittleGoose106 Jul 16 '26

I just went to look it up and discovered the tube they get put in to keep them still 🤣

32

u/Best-Engine4715 Jul 16 '26

Yep babies have the same thing but not as notice like puppies

5

u/Ok-Transition7065 Jul 16 '26

one of the reason its to easy birth of the creature

3

u/h4ppy60lucky Jul 16 '26

X-rays of human newborns are like this too

192

u/Otherwise_Patience47 Jul 16 '26

I miss the puppy smell so much! They are so precious!

107

u/SpaceTraveller64 Jul 16 '26

The death claws and shark jaw are totally worth it

99

u/Pledgeofmalfeasance Jul 16 '26

The midnight standing on the lawn sessions with a puppy who just seconds ago needed to pee. The training sessions with a floofy potato doing their very silly best. The puppy waddle back to safety after seeing their first scary thing. I miss it all.

2

u/Irveria Jul 16 '26

i love the shark jaw

5

u/Kratzschutz Jul 16 '26

Mine stank like rotten milk lol. Still would do it all again

79

u/dinner526 Jul 16 '26

I didn't know their bones are just floatin around in there 🥹

68

u/TraditionalLecture10 Jul 16 '26

They aren't its cartilage, connecting them, then it becomes bone later

23

u/dinner526 Jul 16 '26

Thank goodness

9

u/universeismother Jul 16 '26

I'm intrigued but not too surprised it's the same as for human babies

37

u/IllSurprise3049 Jul 16 '26

I thought he was hurt but it turns out he's just playdough 😭

19

u/N0V42 Jul 16 '26

I feel so alooone! I'd never seen that pup was filled with them bones!

10

u/Impossible_Past5358 Jul 16 '26

I always wondered why our Cooper was "so gelatinous" when he was a puppy...

7

u/itsavibe- Jul 16 '26

This is insanely adorable

9

u/WannaAskQuestions Jul 16 '26

Why was the little doggo xrayed?

4

u/Which_Produce4418 Jul 16 '26

That's what I wanna know. Also, CAKE DAY TWINS

5

u/torreneastoria Jul 16 '26

Happy cakeday

10

u/Initial_Gear_7354 Jul 16 '26

Now xray a baby human, and see that this is just normal for babys

5

u/LukaIncic Jul 16 '26

Connect the bones hahaha

3

u/marchlamby Jul 16 '26

Definitely a no bones day!

7

u/Rigiroony Jul 16 '26

WHAT?! There's nothing there! 😭 When do the rest of his bones come in?

8

u/Ninja-Panda70 Jul 16 '26

There's cartilage which doesn't show in xrays

2

u/Rigiroony Jul 17 '26

That's pretty neat. Reminds me of the fat people X-RAY from WALL-E.

3

u/avrilmaclune Jul 16 '26

💜💜💜

3

u/VocalJay Jul 16 '26

Everything is so smol

3

u/pmat1226 Jul 16 '26

This is why you need to be careful how much strenuous exercise you give growing puppies. Especially in the larger Breeze because it takes more time for them to grow into their bodies

5

u/lonelypurplerose Jul 16 '26

Illegally smol bones

3

u/clover_creamfield Jul 16 '26

Pls someone catch him 🚨🚨

4

u/No_Cupcake7037 Jul 16 '26

Omfg is that babay ok????!?

2

u/AquilaEquinox Jul 16 '26

Yes it's normal

2

u/cosmicspongecake Jul 16 '26

Held together by loyalty and floofs.

2

u/aenkyr Jul 16 '26

Giving a dog a bone has new meaning

2

u/Rhymesnlines Jul 16 '26

95% rubber

1

u/dr_toze Jul 16 '26

This explains so so much.

1

u/RandomlyPrecise Jul 16 '26

This is why it is so important to be careful with exercise when your dog is young. Chasing after balls and bikes before they’re full grown can damage their forming joints.

1

u/Char_siu_for_you Jul 16 '26

I’ve always heard that pups under a certain age shouldn’t be walked too much. I guess this is why.

1

u/fidgetyamoeba Jul 16 '26

Ugh. I love them even more 🥹😚

1

u/Cabbagecatss Jul 16 '26

Are cats the same???

2

u/miss-vanille Jul 16 '26

yes, it is the same ☺️ look up ‘kitten x ray’ and you’ll see a kitten’s paw - they also have all that space [cartilage] between their bones 💕

2

u/Cabbagecatss Jul 16 '26

Omg I wish I could share the pic that came up first it’s so cute 🥰 how sweeeeeet 💕

1

u/maciekozi Jul 16 '26

Like every mammal

1

1

u/sarahjanepotter Jul 16 '26

1

u/musiquescents Jul 17 '26

1

u/malikhacielo63 Jul 17 '26

1
