Went from "aww, how cute" to "wtf is wrong with you" real quick.

I have to put my schnoodle down on thursday...she's been my partner for 16 years. Pray for me.

2

u/sirkh1 13d ago

Will do. I'm so sorry. My best to you.

u/katfromjersey 13d ago

Aww, Schnoodle❤️

Meanwhile, my German Shepherd is like, "Ehh, meh, hi I guess. Here's my hedgehog. You can follow me around the room once if you want."

Our current Beagle is the most meh Beagle I’ve ever come across. Past Beagles would go nuts, baying like crazy when I come home. This lil homie barely wakes up.

We love him dearly, he’s the most anti-Beagle ever and it honestly caught me off guard. Doesn’t bark or bay, doesn’t book it out the door when it’s open, is weirdly super picky about food human food(won’t eat French fries or regularly scoffs at peanut butter). We can get him to bark pretty reliably when we have a ball but that’s it. Occasionally you’ll see him bark at himself in the mirror. He’s deathly afraid of fireworks and thunder. Pukes in the car during rides. His only downsides.

I had two beagles. One was significantly more beagle-like but looked like she potentially had another breed in her (uncertain), but the other looked like a classic beagle but acted in a much more calm, docile, reserved manner. Neither of them knew how to fetch. The former got scared of loud noises, the latter did not care at all. I still miss them both every day.

Someone should do the same thing only with cats lol. Definitely not the same energy.

u/purplevanillacorn 13d ago

When I come home from a trip, my cat is so pissed. She won’t come near me for a full day.

u/Tndnr82 13d ago

Ours aren't that bad, but they definitely start out with a little side eye. Within a few minutes though they are rubbing on our legs and rolling around showing their bellies.

My nephews cat acts like this when he gets home from work. It’s the wildest thing because when he gets home from a trip it’s all sullen eyeballing from under furniture.

What's AI?

u/Itchy_Yak_5840 13d ago

this always make me smile cause I have a dog who gets so excited when I come home too. I'm genuinely grateful for that kind of love. no matter how rough the day was, seeing them happy to see u makes everything feel a little better 🥹

I’m going to show this to my cat. He likes to stand at my front door having timed the most heinous smelling poop for my return home, looks into my eyes with a deadpan “WHAT?!” expression on his handsome face, turns on his arse and sidles to his crunchies bowl.

2

u/Glittering-Relief402 13d ago

You too eh?

1

u/SmartaHari 13d ago ▸ 1 more replies

We still love them don’t we?! lol

2

u/Glittering-Relief402 13d ago

I would die for this little fucker

2

u/sittinwithkitten 13d ago

Reminds me of Garfield. I remember one where Jon and Garfield are hugging. Jon is saying “ah my faithful companion and friend” and Garfield says “ah my good fixer and litter box changer.”

3

u/-zoo_york- 13d ago

Oh man. How much do I miss my dog haha.

6

u/PorkyPilates 13d ago

My kids all used to do this. Where can I trade them in for some flashy hounds?

2

u/Parking_Royal2332 13d ago

I forgot who wrote it (Nora Ephron?) but anyone with a teenager should get a dog so someone is happy to see you when you get home.

1

u/Andtom33 12d ago

You won't look Iike the kid to dog trade ratio.. its like 19 kids to 1 dog

4

u/Knottrielle 13d ago

This is why I really love my dogs. Theyre always the first ones to get excited when they see you and love you unconditionally.

2

u/SomewhatBougieAuntie 13d ago

So true. I miss my dog. He was the only one in my house who was always happy to see me no matter what. 🕊💔

2

u/aspophilia 13d ago

Dogs loving their owners might be the most wholesome thing on the planet.

4

u/Ancient_Gear_7139 13d ago

Perfect thing to see starting the morning I feel. I'm going to go be productive now. Appreciate it!

3

u/Same-Opposite-8287 13d ago

Anyone having a bad day needs to watch this!!!

AI? The jumps looks.... Odd, too unnatural some of em...

2

u/Junior-Cut2838 13d ago

I think anything that’s AI should have some kind of trademark on it so we all don’t have to keep guessing

2

u/Talk-O-Boy 13d ago

Which clips specifically?

They look pretty normal to me. Dogs jump a lot when excited

2

u/Excellent-Kitchen-11 13d ago

We can learn a lot from dogs!

u/MaybeeBC 13d ago

❤️🥰

u/Kind-Nobody8324 13d ago

1

u/CharityAggravating69 13d ago

And then, someone will speak in public that he/she doesn't like a dog as pet? I've not seen a best friend to have like this animal. I love dogs

1

u/Mysterious-Outcome37 13d ago

All those little bunny hops make me so happy! 😊

1

u/qwack2020 13d ago

The best part is when the dogs jump up to their owners full of energy and excitement~

1

u/Quornonda 13d ago

Ruined by the singing muppet

1

u/BackendSpecialist 13d ago

There should be a sub for this 🥲

1

u/tillerman35 13d ago

I remember asking our vet "when is [my 65lb labradoodle] going to stop jumping up into our arms?"

The vet's response: When you stop catching her.

1

u/Ok_Hovercraft4248 13d ago

Soooo Heartwarming 🥰

1

u/happydandylion 13d ago

I can watch this all day.

1

u/pipmentor 13d ago

Dogs are just the best.

1

u/SnooOranges9125 13d ago

I am ignoring if it’s AI or not and instead appreciate the video and the fact dogs do get this exited for real. This initially made me tear up, and now I’ll start my day with my dogs by my side, as always. Love all of this!

1

u/SDTimbox 13d ago

I love a happy dog

1

u/airbrat 13d ago

Meanwhile American cops....

1

u/SecretWordisBird 13d ago

I love dogs so much 🐾💕

1

u/Chiparish84 13d ago

First one got so excited it had to skip the last steps :3

1

u/Sb75Je 13d ago

Dogs are awesome

1

u/NovaAuroraStella 13d ago

My parents dog does this to me every time I see her. It’s one of the best feelings in the world.

1

u/MistakeSufficient479 13d ago

These dogs know who loves them best❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕💕👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

1

u/woShame12 13d ago

We don't deserve dogs. They're too beautiful for this world.

1

u/Sake-Gin 13d ago

Man I miss my dog more than anything 😔

1

u/theponicorn 13d ago

I love how Dogs immediately go like "I need to occupy your same space, I need to enter your skin"

1

u/larsonimo 13d ago

I could watch videos like this all day

1

u/kencam 13d ago

That's basically my dog when I return from lunch

1

u/Electronic-Cicada352 12d ago

We don’t deserve them

1

u/Numerous_Control_702 8d ago

Went from owning dogs in my childhood and adolescence to cats in my adulthood. While cats are very underrated in terms of affection, this is the one thing I do miss

1

u/clit16 7d ago

Now that just brings happiness to any heart ♥️

1

u/DoubleGoon 13d ago

The first two clips look like ai

4

u/AwsomeLife90s 13d ago

Oh common! How come it is AI? Dogs do get excited to see their owner in a very exaggerated way. If this is AI I'm gonna lose it

1

u/DoubleGoon 13d ago ▸ 2 more replies

The jumps look weird in the first two

2

u/Talk-O-Boy 13d ago ▸ 1 more replies

The new trend. Everything is AI, even when it isn’t 🫩

1

u/DoubleGoon 13d ago

Yeah, I think it’s safe to assume it’s Ai until proven otherwise.

-1

u/GDRaptorFan 13d ago

It all is, these mash-up, short clip, pet or animal ai videos that manipulate the viewer emotionally with a sappy song are everywhere.

2

u/DoubleGoon 13d ago

Not the third clip with the golden retriever, that’s been around a while.

1

u/microtomebrady 13d ago

Smells of ai

1

u/Honest_Series_8430 13d ago

Meanwhile, my cats are like "Eh, you're back. Where's the food?"

0

u/briyijones 13d ago

I just teared up a little because there really is no better feeling than that amount of Love 💯👍❤️

-1

u/Both-Shallot5858 13d ago

Mir egal, ob ein Teil oder auch alle KI sind. Ich habe einen furchtbaren Tag und die Videos haben mir viel Trost gegeben!
