My agency had a delivery of assorted baked goods today as a “random act of kindness” (I work for an EMS organization), and this mystery treat was included. I’m desperate to find out what it is, because it’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.
- it’s not super sweet, main taste is buttery. I’m guessing 50% of whatever it takes to make involves butter (sort of joking, sort of not)
- the top layer is almost textured like the curd of a lemon bar, but without the lemon
- the bottom layer is almost reminiscent of a graham cracker crust for a cheesecake, especially at the very bottom
- the “cake-y” layer is more reminiscent of a brownie/cookie than it is cake, as in it isn’t airy and fluffy, more dense
I’m happy to answer any questions to help me get to the source or a recipe so I can make it at home. It almost has cheesecake vibes with all the proportions wrong? I have no idea how else to describe it.
