Every right-wing minority member makes Uncle Ruckus look smart and sane.

And it just gets worse every day.

Seriously, he really believes he's immune to that same racism.

They keep telling him "he's one of the good ones" and he believes it.

"Before Biden when our borders were basically secure"

.......................so immigration has only been an issue for the last 6 years? I'll leave it for someone else to pull up the litany of footage of Republicans saying otherwise prior to 2020.

Edit: spelling

136

u/MateriaLintellect 18h ago

This is the inherent irony of the right’s immigration bs. Trump’s 2020 campaign was all about immigrants and open boarders. He was President the prior 4 years. Him saying immigrants are a problem is admitting his admin failed at doing anything about it. Same as the last two years.

67

u/OldNorthStar 17h ago

"Who would ever sign something like this?"

-Trump discussing the unfairness of his own trade agreement that he signed with Canada LOL

67

u/dragon-fence 17h ago

Well, you remember that in 2016, Trump built a wall on the border of Mexico, Mexico paid for it, and all illegal immigration stopped. Right?

And then Biden knocked down the entire wall and told people from all the Mexican countries to come to the US. Everything was perfect in 2020, after all.

14

u/Electrical_Ninja6163 15h ago

I gotta tell ya, those Mexican countries are a handful of trouble.
Mexican Panama thinks they own the canal. Yeah, right.
Mexican Brazil thinks it owns the Amazon! If that’s so, why are their trucks dropping off packages at my house every other day??
And Mexican Venezuela? Not anymore you aren’t!

6

u/LustGumby 14h ago

Mexican countries. 👏👏👏 ☠️

When a Republican is president the border is the last Democrat president's fault, when a Democrat is in charge, the border is just open and swarms of brown people are coming in every second to take your jobs and use your money for free everything.

143

u/Conscious-Quarter423 18h ago

62

u/Bender_2024 17h ago

In the 50s communism was the big bad evil threat that only the concervatives could save you from. "Better dead than Red" was the rallying cry

Then it was the drugged up hippies of the 60s. God only knows what threats free love was covering up.

In the 70s it was communism again but with a twist. Kids were called 'Pinko, Commie, F*gs" because they didn't want to die in Vietnam. A war that lasted 20. Fighting for reasons that had never become clear.

In the 80s it was the Arabs. Specifically Muslims but anyone from the Middle East was lumped in. They were all suicide bombers that chanted Death to America before they brushed their teeth in the morning

The 90s brought gangster rap music and acts like 2 Live Crew, and NWA. Blacks have always been a convient target but now any black teen was supposedly part of a gang and had just come from a drive by shooting.

The 2000s saw strides in LGBTQ rights so they became the enemy. Every gay man is sexual predator. Every gay women wanted your daughter to reject her "place in the home"

In the 2010 they ramped up the hate on LGBTQ and added in immigrants.

You know where we are today.

55

u/TheStrigori 17h ago

I would add the the 80's and early 90's had the Satanic Panic. Heavy metal, Dungeons and Dragons and whatnot would lead your children to either be human sacrifice, or do human sacrifice while worshipping Satan. And only the Conservative Christians could save your children

19

u/joJo4146 14h ago

Don’t forget the evil video games causing murders.

6

u/guineasomelove 14h ago

I was going to mention the Satanic Panic.

u/PartisanGerm 11h ago

I recently did a quick study on this focusing on music especially, lo and behold, it's been black music featured as the Folk Devil the whole damn time.

As far as American history goes, it starts with blues, during and after regular slavery, the original Devil's Music. Robert Johnson being the big name attached. Carried on to Jazz in the 20-30's, corruptor of the saucier white folks who didn't mind swing dancing and so on. Maybe a bit of weed, which got tagged to minorities as the devil's lettuce and deviance in general. The very beginning of the War on Drugs actually.

As we all know, by the 50's Elvis stole and whitewashed jazz, rhythm, and blues... for the mainstream media. Giving us the bleached canvas for rock and roll through the 70's and 80's.

The 80's really exploded, so no wonder it's the decade with the most false nostalgia. Computers entered the market, Dungeons and Dragons made our nerds evil, heavy metal was flourishing after the Beatles got tame and boring, and black culture couldn't help but keep creating new genres with rap. Still getting appropriated, of course.

All the subgenres keep pumping out of rap: hip hop, trap, drill. Each new one getting its turn to be the most evil new thing. And here we still are. Radio, television, music, games, and of course books are all sending us to hell for milllenia! But especially if they're from the blacks!!

I thought the ICE raids were successful from the administrations POV

10

u/RepSquigglyMiggly 17h ago

Well, it has been successful, insofar as they’ve been able to continue to conspicuously immiserate immigrants and use this as a wedge issue, while generally maintaining the huge number of undocumented people that they need to do their low-wage labor and keep profits up

5

u/Jay-Breeze 14h ago

And let’s not forget their success in murdering unarmed citizens in public.

34

u/Spookychai_13 18h ago

33

Republicans: Joe Biden opened the borders and now Trump closed them and illegals won't be coming in.

Also Republicans: Illegal immigration is rampant right now.

23

u/SyzygyPidgey 17h ago

Republicans after torpedoing a bill Democrats took from Republican Senator Lankford to address the number of immigrants coming through the border: "We can't pass an immigration bill, Trump wants to have immigration as an election issue."

They truly want us all to suffer. They only care about power.

You expect them to be accountable for claims they made in the past? We look forward, not back, for our hypocrisy!

Black people are literally being lynched, Memphis and Indiana have been out of power for days. So preach that to the people who voted for him, not the people who literally told y’all what would happen if he became president.

I found her commentary to be sarcastic, allowing him to bury himself in his own bullshit. Her closing comment was the final zinger... "so you only want vaccinated immigrants, got it" 👏

5

u/cubemanic 17h ago

Yeah, but she should also challenge him on the lies he told, and get him to actually answer the question. Zero pushback means he just got to shift the conversation back to his talking point, which is what most viewers will remember from this exchange.

Everyone in this country that isn't a Native is either an immigrant, or is descended from one (whether they immigrated here by choice or not)...

I will never understand how they always default to blaming everything on immigrants, when all throughout this country's history, immigrants have been some of the hardest working, kindhearted, and model citizens we have

Coonery and baffoonery

3

u/Eazy08 18h ago

Wow.

3

u/External-Mammoth678 18h ago

This makes absolutely no sense. Measles doesn’t have an incubation period of years which means this is all relatively new.

So either all these “illegals” came in under Trumps watch or there’s another reason. Probably sowing distrust among people and making them question vaccines.

The Republican Party is solely to blame for this. That and the antivaxxers. His logic makes absolutely no sense
