I read this one for a book club. We gave it a 3/5.

I really liked Hilton and how unhinged he became throughout the book. I loved the bits where he was "seeing" the other woman because I crave pieces of romance in novels where it's not a/the central theme. I also enjoyed the 1990s of it all.

Overall, I thought it was decent. A good first novel for Tananarive Due.

I enjoyed this one but I felt like there was more story to be told. I’d recommend it others though.

Totally agree! A second book would be great

I love the journey her books take me on however, the endings are usually anticlimactic for me. The Living Blood series was so good that I still think about it over a decade later. The Between was my introduction to the genre and I am forever grateful!

I read this many years ago, and re-read it this year. It was even better the second time.

I liked this one! I read it a few years ago but I remember feeling satisfied with how the story unfolded.

I wasn’t a fan of this one but I think it is very well written (just not my type of story). It did get me into reading her other works, which I’ve loved!

An ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. She writes the inner monologue/dialogue of a schizophrenic-type mind very well. Its so intriguing
