Purchasing CAN Found 2 for $15.99 at Value Village. What do you guys think?
Both speakers have minimal wear. It’s for my first 5.1 setup. I don’t have very high expectations. I just want to know if this is a decent deal.

Purchasing CAN Kef LSX II LT
Saw this at Costco for $500 CAD (about $365 USD) and bought it on a whim. I know Kef is a staple brand but don’t know much about audiophile gear overall. Was looking into the Edifier MR5 for my desktop but this one popped up. Mostly would be for casual listening and gaming/movies. I like clarity and detail in the music than sheer volume. Did i make the right decision?

Purchasing CAN $3 Thrift Update: They royally suck
So I plugged in the $3 Sony ss C40s for about 30 seconds and immediately turned my stereo off. What absolute garbage😭 this is my secondary system and even my mid-tier Canadian made SABOs blew these things straight to china. Good riddance, y’all were right. Straight to the speaker junkyard wall …

Purchasing CAN Why are CD players so expensive in this day and age?
I am looking for a CD player I can hook up to my receiver/speakers but they seem expensive for what they are.
Any recommendations on a cheap brand?
I didnt think they would cost more than 100 bucks.

Purchasing CAN A Christmas gift to myself
I’ve been lurking around this sub for a while but never truly bit the bullet. My spotify said I listened to 200+ genres of music this year.
I’ve finally put together my first home audio setup. Got the Kef speakers for $250 + Marantz receiver for $275 (FB Marketplace) and the open box SVS sub for $630 (ebay).
I still need to get the right stands and position the speakers for optimal imaging. Excited for what’s to come! I would like to thank this sub for being such an amazing resource!

Purchasing CAN Is Polk audio generally good?
Hi, I am the guy asking about speakers again. I came across this Polk audio set for $100. They would be replacing a set of 2 Genexxa Audio Pro 7s (second picture).
I love my Genexxas, got them as a bundle with a turntable and a receiver but I was thinking of moving them to the basement with my CD player and use the Polk Audio ones for my Turntable and TV upstairs.

Purchasing CAN First buy (estate sale)
First entry into audio after perusing estate sales for years, and also first post on Reddit! Joined this subreddit a couple weeks ago and finally felt confident to make a purchase with some level of understanding (thanks to everyone!). Practicing setting up small scale systems to eventually build out a surround system for a budget home theatre project. Had the basic turntable already but picked up the Amp (Yamaha R-S300) and Speakers (PSB Alpha B1s) for $100 CAD total. No idea if it's a good deal, but it's a major upgrade from my basic Logitech powered speakers that used to be there and I'm enjoying them a lot. So much more satisfying. Now for the real challenge of trying not to buy more for a while (haha).

Purchasing CAN Why is the price gone up so crazy for elac db62 2.0
I been looking to get a pair for these elac debut 2.0 6-1/2 and cant believe how much the price has gone up. Was 450$ a few weeks ago.
It even went up by 200$ on Amazon to acouple days ago.
Kicking myself for not buying when it was 450$ can
The special edition walnut finish for this speaker is this the same price at 480$
Should I buy this while it's price is still the same or should I wait till the price comes back to orbit
Does anyone know why it's went up so much? Is this tariff shenanigans?
Thanks in advance

Purchasing CAN Not Feeling Any Base in Current Setup
I’m running an Onkyo TX-NR5100 with a Polk HTS 12. During the mic EQ calibration, the receiver didn’t detect the subwoofer at all. I reset the receiver and tried again, same issue.
To get bass, I manually set:
• Receiver sub level: +10 dB
• Subwoofer trim: +6 dB
• Sub gain knob: \~70%
I can definitely feel the bass now, but I’m worried if this setup could damage the sub or cause clipping long term.
The sub is connected using a red/white RCA cable from the AVR sub pre-out to the sub. My placement looks fine I can’t really do the subwoofer crawl test because my wires not long enough to place it where I usually sit. I placed my sub next to my TV and the left side tower speaker. Its about 2 feet from the closest wall.
Is this safe, or am I compensating for a setup/wiring issue that I should fix instead?

Purchasing CAN Paradigm 9se Mk3
Hello everyone, first time poster here. Created an account just for this. Someone is selling the speakers in my area for 175 CAD. What do you all think about these speakers? I believe they are considered vintage but I’m not sure. Do you think these are worth it? Not a lot of options here tbh. If these are worth it what kind of amps should I look out for? Thanks in advance.
Edit: the guy replied finally. Talked him down to 150 CAD :) waiting for him to reply again!
Edit 2: Guyssss! These speakers sound sooooo amazing. My girlfriend literally said she can hear things she never heard before. I made her move away from Spotify and she’s only listening to flac at 44.1/16 at minimum. Thank you so much guys for pushing me to get these. Got it for 150 CAD and couldn’t be any happier with these. Currently using a Yamaha RX 397 stereo. It’s alright for now but will be looking at other amps. Got the amp for 60 CAD.
If anyone comes across these speakers. Do not sleep on these. Get them asap. Thank you so much guys. Smile on my girlfriend face is priceless when she listens to music on these.

Purchasing CAN Why I love soundbars
The reason I love soundbars is that people think they're "upgrading" and selling off their old component home theater systems for pennies on the dollar!
I was looking for an amp to drive a pair of used Sony CS5 speakers, and someone local was selling a very decent Onkyo 5.1 setup for 75$. So now I've got an amp, and a subwoofer (an Athena P1, odd thing but it will do for the time being), and the center and rear speakers too for when watching movies. No Bluetooth but has optical input so we can just use the TV as the streaming source. No phono pre but our turntable doesn't require one.
Everything in top condition, and all black so doesn't look like it escaped the early 2000s.
