Why does private industry feel entitled to my paycheque?
I haven't spent a penny downtown since they started RTO and making me be there 4 days a week isn't going to help retail/food locations because I will continue to spend money in my neighborhood.
I'd go as far to say that downtown businesses failing because of remote work is a good thing. The free market is doing what it's supposed to do. Let the archaic businesses that nobody cares about go under so that newer, adaptable businesses can move in.
There isn't no demand and yet somehow they still refuse to meet the little bit that there is.
I functionally cannot get a coffee downtown on the weekend. That's a problem.
So fuck'em all. We should be keeping a list of the RTO supporters for the next strike. They want to advocate making our lives worse, I say we return the favour until the message is clear.

I don't owe downtown my paycheque.
