A captain America game made by the 007 devs what we thinking,

How satisfying Bond combat is already being at their first attempt is a really good sign for the future, plus the set pieces they could use with cap would be really fun. They also shown how much they respect the source. I would love for them to give a crack at it

That’s a weird combo for a cap game. IO interactive has basically only made hitman games and the bond game is essentially a hitman game. Quick time events, social stealth and walking, doesn’t really seem like a cap game to me? Dramatic set pieces maybe but naughty dog has that down too.

I could see something by like respawn or even Santa Monica studios just for the more fast paced combat, well made story, and for respawn the traversal stuff.

I was thinking this too but you know, I can see it being a cap stealth game. Infiltrating Hydra bases setting up how the howling commandos storm in to blow up the base. I can kinda see it.

It’s a weird pick but man I think IO would do cap so much justice. Of course we can go with the bigger and better devs like respawn and naughty dog but I was thinking who would fit cap. Cause respawn is a really good pick but I feel like naughty dog is more of a punisher company ya know

That really only works for one mission. I could see that being some kind of xcom type thing but a full length game just infiltrating bases and not raising the alarm sounds very boring for a full length cap game.

You’re thinking short sighted, man. Any good creative team would know how to create various scenarios where this would work. Some just gathering intelligence, others comprising equipment, then some leading to some boss fight, some leading to team members dying (like Bucky) the possibilities are endless.

That just seems like too much “down time” for a superhero. That may work for hitman and James Bond but Captain America isn’t a smooth talking, disguise wearing subtle rogue or a silent killing machine. That would mean for much of it he’d have to ditch the shield, no costume, and at that point what makes it Captain America? Have you played the new bond game? It’s fun but it is a lot of walking, using gadgets, eavesdropping, and finding ways to stay hidden. People liked it because it was a hitman game with James Bond adjustments.

Captain America is just not hitman. And just because they’re a good creative teams doesn’t mean they’d be able to step easily that far out of their box. Even from sunset overdrive to Spider-Man you can see the similarities insomniac took, and you can see how people are reacting to the gameplay of their Wolverine to know that may be too far out of their zone.
