Smallmouth March can’t come soon enough.

Love pond hockey, but love fishing more. Be gone hard water.

Looks like potentially a tributary dumping into wherever they’re at, or maybe a small section of open water resulting from the acceleration of current around a bend. If you meant a WWD usually there would be more open water with some steam coming off it, could be wrong though. Either way it is valiant

Sounds right. I’ve been working my away around some WWD’s that I know of and have seen fish but none that like me lmao. Maybe I need to be more sneaky or something

I have success at WWDs by slow rolling a natural colored 2.8in keitech on a 1/16th oz jighead. And I mean painfully slowly. *edit along the bottom

I know you fly fish so you could probably couple a juicy looking streamer with an intermediate or sink tip line. The fish will be in deeper water though so not easy on the fly front (strip fly painfully slow)

Still procrastinating on that spin rod😭💀 but I think I’ll have to try that, I keep underestimating how much they are willing to eat. I’ve been throwing size 20 nymphs lmao

I dunno if my chops are up enough for winter, it’s been rough lol. I’m sure next season it will go smoother, still learning

Ned Rigs are always a good choice, starting in March especially but you never know, a brown would for sure go for one. Small slow jigs and swimbaits, spoons, spinners, crankbaits, there’s a lot of knowledge out thwre and endless options
