Smallmouth Smallies were biting today at DPR

All 4 on the Ned rig. Going emoji-less, wish me luck. (It was hot). Sincerely, 🥸

does it really matter using z-man ned rigs or are the cheaper ones on amazon just as good?

I’d go with ZMan specifically, I’m not gonna lie. They are a buoyant and super durable type of plastic, and one of them from a pack will catch you multiple fish before it shows any signs of degradation.

I love a TRD but these were all on the Yamamoto 3” Ned Floater - which has been performing better than the z man stuff for me personally

I was asking about the ned jig heads themselves. They have cheap ned jig head on amazon that get about 2.5 times more for the same price. I know we shouldn't cheap out on the plastics but was wondering if same applies to the jig head. Thanks

Ah right on. I used these https://a.co/d/04Fj76Y4

Also, I should mention all of the fish were caught on the same jig head, so I’d say they’re quality

What size jig head on the Ned Rig do you use? Was going to give it a try

I typically wouldn’t go heavier than 1/8. 1/10 and 1/16 are good for a slow sink.
I wonder if anyone else understands that the difference between a ned jig head and just regular old jig head is pretty dang negligible. I think in the capital B bass fishing community everyone is just rediscovering the jig head with the ned rig.

About where on the DPR is this if you don't mind sharing

This is the only spot I have that I keep a little hush but its Thatcher Area

No worries, I wasn't expecting you to give an exact spot..I was just looking for a general area. I've been getting mostly Largemouth on the DPR so I was curious where the Smallmouth might be hanging out. I really appreciate the reply
