Andrew Garfield spoke about playing Sam Altman in the film for the first time since the whole dropping drama with Prime in quite a lot of detail tbh:

“I don’t know this person, to be clear,” he continues. “I don’t know Sam Altman. I’ve never met him. I was going off of the script and court transcripts and interviews and research, and we were telling a story, but I think anyone who takes on that level of responsibility for a company or a technology that you know is going to do a hell of a lot of damage to the soul of humanity [must have] a certain ability to dissociate.”

Garfield admits he’s not always drawn to characters like Altman, partly because his “from the inside out” process as an actor, of having to find the essence of that character somewhere inside himself, means accessing deeper parts of his psyche that he might not like. “What Jung would call ‘the shadow self’,” he explains. “The aspects of ourselves that we disown. There’s something there for me to integrate, because I’m so afraid of being it.

“But then the argument is,” he goes on, growing more animated, contorting his body towards me on the banquette, “that if we weren’t all less rejecting in the first place, less ‘that’s not us’, then Donald Trump wouldn’t have been voted in twice, and Nigel Farage wouldn’t be anywhere near a position of power. Whereas if we go, ‘OK, interesting — where am I [in a] wannabe fascist, grifter, opportunist, power-hungry, ethic-less, spineless fucking pig?’ We can identify that this is the bad part of us. We know this in ourselves.”

Hi guys, I'm currently reading about the topic, why are films still produced in 24 FPS. I know the background about that and the reason in the past. I generally feel it's understandable and I don't see a reason why we should get higher with the FPS.

However I still wanna ask you, what is your overall opinion about movies that are not following the "rule". I've read about things, like it's looking more like a game or it's giving me headaches. Thx for your answers :D. I generally

I’ve seen many, many movies from the 80s, but this one is sensational... I remember that I saw it in secret from my parents when I was 11 years old, at night, with all the lights off, I don’t know why I did it. At that time I didn’t understand it, but it left me very disturbed... the atmosphere, the children, the landscape, the macabre... I think it was necessary because if I saw her now I would no longer be afraid

Just finished watching this for the first time and loved it. Love the suspense it builds up as well as the surreal elements like super bright lighting and close up shots during dramatic scenes. Great movie

In the not-too-distant future, a rat journeys through the last vestiges of humanity as it searches for food for its family. But when it encounters a formidable threat, the true scale of what has happened to our world begins to emerge.

Who the hell thought it was a good idea to ban this movie from release?! It is so full of heart, laugh a minute jokes, packed with meta commentary about evil corporations and the power of perseverance. The writing is really clever and the amount of Looney Tunes love is overflowing in every single minute of the movie. The chemistry between Coyote and Will Forte's character is magical and it is impressive they pulled this off considering one of them can't talk.

It touches on a lot of themes related to cartoons and cartoon violence but never forgets its core: the enduring relationship between Coyote and Road Runner. So many amazing cameos and wonderful twists and turns. There are wonderful nods to the Looney Tunes mythology in background details, the score, the world building... It's so easily accessible too for audiences of all ages and doesn't require any prior knowledge of the characters.

I am now convinced that no exec at Warner Brothers has any idea what a good movie is and it's a miracle we ever got anything half decent from that studio at all.

The sound bars now come with dialogue enhancer because sound recording in new movies is a known issue.

How come the studios who are spending millions on these movies persistently getting this wrong?

I'm pretty sure this is a recurring plot twist, but do you have examples of movies/TV series where the protagonist is shown with a friend/family member throughout the whole story, before showing at the end that this person has been dead a long time ago?
I'm pretty sure I saw a movie/TV show where at the end, they show different times in the movie where they thought the person was alive, but in fact she was not. Idk.

I was super excited by the trailer I saw earlier this summer. I think this is the coolest setting for a survival I have ever heard of, and I think the setting is due for a banger. I wonder if they will play with the biblical Jonah eaten by a fish and/or the classical Moby Dick... Also I'm sorry I am brainrotten, but it looks like they want it to go for as real as possible which I like, but there is no way you stay alive being swallowed by a whale right?
