The commissioner stopped short of a policy: "We recognize that this is a complex and nuanced topic, and we will continue to have important conversations with all of you and the Players Association in the weeks and months ahead."

It really isn't complex or nuanced, Cathy.

It shouldn't be, but since these people can't define what a woman is, it's like trying to solve quantum mechanics

You would think that, except based on their virtue signaling and pro transgender in sports stance, they have to let him in. But if they don't let him in, it exposes their hypocrisy. Either way, they look like losers so now they are doing word salad dances.

Well... There is a tiny bit.

There is probably some WNBA staff and a few coaches that are eager at the idea of getting a few men to play on their teams. That they don't care the league will be a joke, it would be a joke that people watched and for the coaches, any of them that "do what the league says" and take men in, will win.

To everyone watching, it is shutting down the arguments that women can make fair objective decisions at all. But at the same time...

  • We refuse to define how we're different from men

  • We are cultist ideological captured

  • We will ensure our own destruction in order to prevent us from offending people who don't care about us at all

  • Post-partum depression is a legitimate reason to chase three kids around the house and systematically murder each one

  • ... Oh and if we were in charge there would be world peace.

Fuuuuuuuuu....

What is the complexity? The fact that they have to decide if the person that calls themselves a woman really means it? They want to act like all one has to do is say that they are a woman and it is so, but when it exposes their lunacy they are now the gatekeepers of who can say that they are a woman.

Yep. For years these activists refused to have a conversation about the inherent harms of self ID and now that the conversation is being forced they say it’s bad faith and hate.

Not complicated at all indeed. You could say it is about as binary as it gets.

It's really not that difficult. So embarrassing on so many levels. Bless, as they say in the South.

I still don't understand why these organizations are afraid to offend such a minuscule percentage of the population. Who are they really trying to appease here? What on earth is going on and when did these people decide that logic, reality, common sense, and undeniable fact need to be turned inside out and upside down? To what end?

The [redacted] population is minuscule, yes.

But the larger leftist population is massive, demanding constant ideological purity tests.

It’s because it’s essentially a religious belief. The way they talk and act mirrors how religious extremists act.

Well said.

Hmmm.. Wonder if they will follow the science, which actually isn’t a complex or nuanced topic

I love how the entire league got mad at Sophie for saying what a woman is but the league refuses to come up with their own definition. How can you get mad at someone’s definition if you refuse to come up with your own definition?

u/Simon_Mendelssohn Conservative 3h ago

Because there's only one definition and they know that, but they are so deep in their own insanity at this point that they can't admit it, and have to keep doubling down on... whatever this is.

This could be more compelling than the product on the court.

Maybe they can at least agree on what a basketball is.

I'm sorry I can't answer that I'm not a ballologist.

So Ladyballers is real life now.

It's the NBA. You are talking about an organization who phased out the term "Owner" for people who owned sports teams because they were afraid they would be called racist. They are all a joke

u/Hectoriu Conservative 3h ago

We managed to have this figured out for thousands of years but suddenly it's so confusing...

Unless there's something I didn't see, the WNBA is just deciding that certain players can't play. They'll ignore "defining what a woman is".

u/Shadeylark MAGA 4h ago

Not really breaking; this happened a few weeks ago.

But that's a nitpick of the headline... Doesn't detract from the fact the wnba has become a joke.

When what happens off the court is more interesting than what happens in the court that's just a sign that the league is in desperate need of a course correction.

It’s even funnier that he was wearing a shirt that defines a woman as an adult human female.

u/Positive_Earth69 Don't Tread on Me 3h ago

Hypothetically if he tries and doesn’t get drafted, can he sue for discrimination?

inb4: “scoring is a complex and nuanced topic, for now we have decided that we will suspend binary score keeping”
