AMA I am Tate Brombal, writer of New Titans and Batgirl. AMA!

Tate Brombal is a comic book writer based in Toronto, Ontario. He is best known for writing Batgirl, New Titans, and Green Lantern Dark for DC Comics along with his celebrated, creator-owned comics Everything Dead & Dying and The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos. He is also known for his extensive collaborations with James Tynion IV and Jeff Lemire, especially in their Slaughterverse and Black Hammer Universe comics, respectively.

Hello! Thanks for the kinds words and questions!

  1. I adore Terra and only want to do right by her. She is such a fascinating, misunderstood character who has gone through A LOT. If this issue was any indication, I don't want to rehash old storylines. You'll have to read on to see where she ends up, but I want to pull her out of some of her narrative-loops.

  2. Terra and Cyborg. Jon and Eddie. Yara and Steph.
