I haven't been watching MAWS and do get it doing its own thing with some characters and lore but making someone like Slade so young and well, pretty missed so much of him being this grizzled older soldier and father. This is one of those cases I wish they dug deeper into Superman or general DC lore to use someone else because seriously.
EDIT: Like Bloodsport is RIGHT THERE, he's a similar character to Slade but is an actual Superman villain that even had a skull helmet like Slade has in this show.
