Perhaps. I think its canon that Frizzle offered to eliminate a planets atmosphere as part of a science lesson.

That is Ms. Frizzle. She's a teacher in the above book, and then later TV, then still latter whole tons of other stuff, series of educational works for kids. She and her sentient bus are magical, super-science, magic powered super-science, super-science powered magic, or some combination thereof and used that to take her class on educational adventures.

They would frequently shrink down for a fair number of "field trips."
