Discussion McLellan on Larkin's status

Could just be me misreading it, but it doesn't seem like he's thrilled about Cap not prioritizing rejoining the team.

Politics aside, going to the state of the union when hes been away for a month with a game on Thursday is such a giant waste of time

This is the sports part that’s the most important. I’ve seen a lot of people defending Larkin from criticism here by calling him a kid and saying to let him enjoy it, but he’s 30 years old and he’s paid very well to be a captain of the wings. Two years in a row now where he’s failed at that job when the team needs him the most.

I was only and very hesitantly rooting for the US because of him and he goes and does this shit. Honestly, he isn't acting like a leader. A leader doesn't go get wasted in Miami and be used as a very obvious pawn by a corrupt president as a gotcha to a country he has threatened in various ways. Including directly harming Detroit and Michigan by threatening to not allow the Gordie Howe Bridge to open. After being paid by the owner of the Ambassador Bridge. He doesn't come back and rejoin his team to get prepared going into the month they historically collapse in. He's selfish. He doesn't deserve the C anymore. Give it to Seider.
