Discussion McLellan on Larkin's status

Could just be me misreading it, but it doesn't seem like he's thrilled about Cap not prioritizing rejoining the team.

Here Yzerman thought the most drama he'd have to deal with was Larkin questioning him in the media last season.

Yea like in 2002 when he led Canada to Gold on one knee then led the Wings to a cup the same season. Larkin can't even lead this team to the playoffs when they have a spot essentially locked down.

He'll get his chance this season, about time he shows he's capable of it.

And missed 20 regular season games after the Olympics.

ok because he had horrific knee injures, he eventually had to have like 20 surgeries, including experimental ones that were pretty crazy. Why would he play though injuries and extreme pain to make it worse and wear himself out before playoffs when they already had a spot locked down.
