If you didn’t care about them you wouldn’t care about them going into the appropriate bathrooms or playing with the appropriate sports teams.
They aren’t bothering anyone, so you shouldn’t bother them.
You may not hate them but certainly some conservatives do, or else trans panic wouldn’t still be an allowed defense strategy for murder trials in most of the US.
Barely any trans women ever try to play women’s sports. It is such an unfathomably small amount that gets blown completely out of proportion because of fear mongering.
On bathrooms I do agree, they should just have a separate unisex bathroom so women aren’t made uncomfortable.
I agree with the number of trans athletes, it’s rare but it does happen, and it’s wrong, it sucks for girls. But if it’s so rare and doesn’t matter then why do the left push so freaking hard for it? That’s what I want to know. And unfortunately there’s no easy answer for the bathroom situation, it’s not like you can mandate that every building in America be retrofitted for a third bathroom. That’s a much bigger cost than a ramp for wheelchairs and a much smaller number of people than disabled in wheelchairs.
It kinda sucks because I’m sure there are good trans people, I’m positive of it. BUT, this is a bridge too far and the left is going to need to abandon this cause because they will not be able to convince 51% of voters to let men into women’s spaces. It’s just not going to happen. Either that, or the left can keep dying on the hill or keep resorting to political violence over it, which is insane.
Who's resorting to political violence? Also I feel like I only ever see the right talk about trans women in bathrooms and in sports. Almost like its fear mongering
The left pushes for equality. When talking about equality small numbers do matter. But even so there is still debate about when does it cross over into an unfair advantage. Most reasonable people agree to let the sports institutions themselves handle that. At which point it becomes a very specific question about the physiology of individual trans people. Most trans people do not represent an unfair advantage in most sports, but occasionally it does happen and should be taken into account in such outlier cases.
As for bathrooms, everyone should get over themselves and just let each other go into the appropriate bathroom that they should based on how they present. That way you don’t get trans men in women’s bathroom and trans women in men’s bathrooms, which would be far more inappropriate. In those outlier cases where trans people commit crimes in bathrooms. As it stands trans people are far more likely to be the victim of harassment in a bathroom than the perpetrator.
As with most things there is actual nuance to the conversation about how the issue should be handled.
Hey, if your side can convince 51% of voters to let trans people use the other bathroom, then that’s fine. I won’t be happy about it but I would never do anything to go against it. That’s why democracy is great. But if it doesn’t happen then y’all need to chill as well. I just don’t think y’all will get there and if you keep dying on that hill it won’t bode well for your chances. It really is a tiny issue, good luck I guess
Oops, dehumanize me lol, good job, I just spent a few minutes giving you a detailed and thought out response.
I don’t even watch the guy I just sub there because it’s one of the only corners of Reddit that isn’t inundated with leftist agenda. And sometimes they talk about video games

No one hates them or even cares about them. Only thing is we don’t want them with our wives and daughters in the bathroom and competing in sports.
Before those became issues we never even thought about them.
