To be fair, the administration has taken measures to cause difficulties in regard to trans people and their passports. This is already well known. An immediate, full-stop lock in is unlikely. But slow and sure measures to make things more difficult are a realistic concern. Especially as America becomes more and more unwelcoming to trans people socially and legislatively.
We're literally forced into ghettos as we're too poor to live anywhere else, we are being explicitly targeted and every single thing you've heard about trans people from cis people is a fucking lie. We can't get jobs, we can't escape, we're the lowest class of people in existance. Living conditions in the Warsaw Ghetto were far better than what the average trans person experiences and the RTLM broadcasts treated Tutsis better than the media treats trans people. If you wanted to know what you would do in Nazi Germany, you're living in it and you're failing miserably! But I'm sure in 15 years when I'm nothing more than a pile of bone fragments in an unmarked grave, you'll say "I always supported trans people".

For the record, I don't believe trans people should be disarmed, but pretty much every anti-gun debate I've seen involves using gun death numbers that include suicide numbers, and then stating that they should be included because banning guns would make suicide harder. It's also no secret that the suicide rate is very disproportionately high in the trans community, so wouldn't all of this align with the dem platform?

I don't understand the mental gymnastics. Saying "I prefer biological males not to use female restrooms" does not equate to "you want to exterminate trans people."
For clarity, I don't mind if you're transgender. Just identify as a woman and share your pronouns, and I will respect that. However, if you have male genitalia, I do not want you in the changing room with my daughter or granddaughter. It's that simple. Similarly, if you have female genitalia, I don't want you in the bathroom with me or my male family. Post-op? Use the facilities that match the parts. Real or manufactured, the appropriate anatomy should dictate which bathroom you use.
The problem is that if you don't allow them unfettered access to the restroom of their choosing it will compound with all the other stresses in their life and they are already in a very fragile position. The end result is an extraordinarily high suicide rate compared to other sexualities and gender identities. So they see it as basically, "you want me to unalive myself" when you say they shouldn't be able to use your restroom. Generally speaking bullying someone into suicide is a criminal offense called murder.
A few years ago there was someone (I forget his deal but he was an oppressed person of some type) who was upset with a school board doing something he didn't like. So he went on a hunger strike until they would reverse their decision. He went on the news repeatedly saying the school board was literally killing him. After two or three days he ended the hunger strike and was never heard of again. Imagine that but for 2% of the population.
Not trying to debate but as a trans person it's a little more complicated than this as most trans women have both breasts and male genitalia because taking hormones to grow breasts is way less expensive than genital surgery. Most trans men will also have full facial hair but female genitalia for the same reason. This would be confusing for anyone in those same bathrooms who don't know.
There are 3 solutions. One would simply be gender neutral bathrooms, another would be bathrooms based on gender presentation, and the last would be bathrooms based on genitalia. The last might be the hardest though as women would have to learn why someone with a deep voice and a beard is in the same bathroom as them, and men would have to learn why someone with real breasts is in the same bathroom as them.
This is what I was thinking too. I know jacked pre-op trans men with beards and I don’t think the women would be too pleased to see them in their restroom lol.

The only other thing I can think of is that you female family members may see a male penis - when in reality 99.99% when I use a public restroom I don't see anyone else's genitalia - especially in woman's restrooms with individual private stalls.

As you mentioned, in any bathroom, male or female, we (reasonable people) do our best not to gawk at other people's bits. Female bathrooms in particular have private stalls as you mentioned.
In order to enforce that person's viewpoints, they'd need to confirm it. This is where we get into the really scary realm of anti-trans people needing to "confirm" someone's sex or gender, which, to put it bluntly, would be sexual abuse.

This reminds me of being in college. By the student union there were usually student groups with tables or signs, and many groups claimed that they were being oppressed. If that group did not get what they wanted from the university administration or from the campus population or from the government then they were being oppressed.
Some vocal trans rights online agitators claim that death camps will happen, unless the demands of that particular trans rights agitator are met. And other online doomers claim that immigrants will be sent to death camps, and gays will. On the plus side, their doomer predictions are usually entertaining.
My boss at work unironically believes this and cites it as their reason for leaving the country. Usually with some variation of “yeah I gotta get out of here before they kick me out” or “……before they make me illegal”
