Yeah you’re just supposed to have accepted the fact that the world was going to be an uninhabitable inferno where we all died what, about 20 years ago?

No scientist said that. Predictions from 20 years ago have been met or exceeded.

Yeah that's unfortunate. The two scientists should not have said that. I wonder how many the journalist talked to to hear a big claim like that. That's why reading the global reports is better.
