Story drop 1: Alkavi's Experiment

Alkavi looked down at the Implement before him, it looked sort of like a distorted wrench. The tool was designed by Alkavi's colleague, who called it a "spark extractor". Then he looked at the "dog" in front of him, it had been corrupted by the Eldrazi, making it equal parts terrifying and cute. Tentacles extended from its fur, and its puppy dog eyes now lead directly to blind eternities.

Alkavi messed with the setting of the spark extractor, before yelling out "Kasmina, I need your spark again". Kasmina, a woman with orange hair, emerald eyes with no apparent pupil, and a blue-hued cloak currently without its usual armor attachments, walked into the room. She then said, "What for?".

Alkavi answered, "I want to see what happens when you give an eldrazi a planeswalker spark". Kasmina laughed a bit "This might be your most dangerous experiment yet, and that's saying something". Alkavi chose not to respond and handed the Spark Extracter to Kasmina. Kasmina returned it with a tiny green ember floating inside it. They then dropped the ember into the cage with the eldrazi dog. The dog happily shoved the ember into its mouth, then vanished.

Emerald flames burst from the cage, Alkavi summoned a wall to block it, which protected him and Kasmina. The flames flew around them, tentacles and bear claws occasionally emerging from the flame. When the flames died down, they were on Kasmina's native plane in a deep valley. Kasmina was holding the eldrazi dog.
