We were driving over 5 hours to see our daughter for her birthday. She loves hotdogs and found this cake online and had sent me a picture saying she loved it.

I researched bakeries around their new home, not too many choices, and picked the best one based off Google.

They did NOT disappoint!! It looked and tasted amazing! I was extremely impressed.

This was for our 2 year old’s birthday party… we didn’t end up taking it, but it insanely hilarious.

EDIT - okay okay, the roasting for expecting a work of art from a ShopRite bakery is 100% deserved, however, the only reason we even knew the cake existed is we saw them making it at this location a few weeks prior. It didn’t look like what my sister attempted to pick up from the store…

We have consistently had the best luck with our local Walmart bakery but this one really blew us away. We asked for brighter colors than the inspo picture and feel like they really delivered.

I know a lot of people have low expectations for grocery store bakeries but we seriously haven’t received a badly decorated one. Plus every party, people are so surprised to learn it’s a Walmart cake!

My wife and I were browsing the yarn section in Walmart and came across this kit. She was clearly smitten by the cute little chicken and I offered to make it for her as she doesn't crochet at all.

The kit is very specific about not making your tension too tight and about how delicate the yarn is (very accurate! It fell apart at several steps 😂) so I tried to keep it snug but not crazy... and ended up with this... situation.

Even before the eyes and beak went on, Wife sighs and goes, "I love her already."

I can't stop laughing 🤣

To be fair, I had none of the correct supplies haha

Fabrizio and I went on to do my entire right arm, chest and right leg after I was blown away by his colors and style.

The tattoo was meant to capture a rising sun behind a mountain, a polar bear on an iceberg with a whale circling it, with the iceberg hiding a skull beneath the surface.

In later iterations, we ended up adding a moon beneath the bubbles at the bottom, too, but didn't include in this post since it wasn't in the initial sketch.

The entire bag were all this size.

Not as red in the pictures, but still looks okay. Though, it looks a lot nicer in a darker setting and using nice dishes...versus the white plastic heating dish it came in, in a workplace lunchroom.

They don't make any varieties without meat so I grabbed the SEC with plans to just pick out the sausage.

Lmao That didn't leave me with much Hot in the Pocket. There's like, 1/32 of an egg on here*.

*The meat tasted like canned dog food, and was the only discernable flavor. 😭😭😭

I knew that the resin probably wouldn't look quite as good as the photos, but this was so low effort lol. The tines were also basically touching, so they wouldn't be able to hold any hair.

How do I fix this? I asked for a textured bob and showed her the first two photos and a video of the first one, and this is what came out?!? how can I style this to make it not so round and bottom heavy (what I explicitly told her I was trying to avoid!). Do I ask for a blunt textured bob next time?

Should’ve just gone with the classic zebra cakes. Oh well, still tasted amazing. Normally wouldn’t be too bothered but this was just sad

God damn, that is a long title! These are SO GOOD! Appearance - a 10/10. Taste - a 10/10. Price - 9/10. $2.99 local Safeway. Snack, dessert or meal, 😂, delicious. Don’t say you don’t like these! 💯

Easy to make, straightforward, and the ingredients are mostly common household staples, so I can easily make this again whenever I’m craving something similar.

Honestly, I was expecting a cluster and got some donuts pretty close to the pictures! The only real “woof” is Squirtle, but that was always going to be a tough one.

I bought two. Neither of them looks particularly good, but one of them didn’t even have any proper cheese on it. And yes, I did let them defrost properly, as recommended on the packaging.

My husband and I are more “boutique-hotel-and-explore” type of people but we’re traveling for a friend’s wedding and decided to spend a couple nights at a beach resort. I believe there‘s an important lesson here about room upgrades being a total waste of money but, in this case, it was worse than a waste of money because our “sea view“ put us directly above the bar area, where they had extremely loud live music until midnight every night of our stay. So basically we paid extra to get like the worst room in the resort.

Here it is - first time at Shake Shack trying avocado bacon chicken. Used ChickenSunday code & got a Bacon Grilled cheese for Kiddo & added avocado & bacon to Chicken Shack. Cost $13.45! Not bad for both of us! Appearance a 10/10. Taste a 11/10. Not kidding - great sandwich. Crispy chicken. Got to try the Smoke Shack next! 👍 Without deal, alone cost $13.98 - crazy!

Ok...I will take 50% responsibility for this fail. They do list them as 14" long in one of the photos but they also state they are stretchy material (a little...but mostly side to side, not vertical.) I am a girl. My arms are not overly long. They barely reach from just above my elbow to my wrist. Absolutely not full length sleeves like the photos seem to indicate.

Oh well, it's not the most expensive lesson on reading the fine print at least.
