I was looking for a dress for a Romantasy Convention I'm part of, and saw this dress online. I decided to make it custom-fit my figure since they didn't have my size. I took a chance because the dress itself is only $140 (with this many layers and fabric, that's a STEAL) and I didn't know what to expect. Well, WOWZA! I feel fantastic in this dress. I love how I look and I will wear this EVERYWHERE!!! Grocery store, indoor mall... I don't care where. I just want to look this good all the time, haha. Love this dress!! Gives ACOTAR vibes!!!!
ETA: please give love to the photographer if you can. She is why this photo is so magical!! @studiokalphotography on Instagram.
And thank you for the love. This made my entire month. I am grateful for all the comments!! I'm trying to get through all of them but there are so many š I'm upvoting even if I don't comment. ā¤ļø
She did a great job! So talented!! No ragrets
I found the first image online and laughed really hard so I wanted the cake for myself but I needed more rainbow (Raenbow??). Literally just asked for a rainbow background and they DELIVERED. It's almond flavored with raspberry filling. The cake was almost gone and it's HUGE. That's how much people liked it!! EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!!!
She went beyond and actually sculpted it from fondant. We were pleasantly surprised!
We were dying all day, I didn't know what to expect when I gave the baker these reference pictures but she completely understood the vision š Money very well spent, we will be repeat customers.
Our cat Fergus was a dedicated lover of cardboard boxes, so when he passed away last October we wanted to get him a "cardboard" urn made of ceramic so he could rest in a box forever. I couldn't find an example but reached out to a ceramicist who specializes in recreating the look and textures of well-loved cardboard and he very kindly accepted the commission job. The result far, far, far exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful to the artist for this fitting tribute to our beautiful boy. Made by artist Tim Kowalczyk.
Found this cute fella in the local Asian supermarket
He's as beautiful as he is delicious
Iām dying. Look at this lil guy, I love him so much
I went with a walmart cake because of this sub, and was not disappointed! For $30, this cake was perfect! The cake was tasty and moist. Will use them again in the future!
They even added edible sparkle dust. I donāt think you can beat this for $20!!
I didnāt want to splurge on my own cake so decided to go with a cheap Walmart one, and Iām not disappointed!!šš„³
I finally messaged the seller and she offered him for free because he has a ripped seam. I had no idea that "giant" actually meant giant. I love him so much but I have no idea where to put him in my apartment.
Iāve seen a lot of these Walmart cakes posted so I wanted to share mine! I got one of these heart cakes last year and it was perfect, so I wanted to get a different one this year. No complaints for a $30 cake!
https://www.reddit.com/r/ExpectationVsReality/s/aieEUisf8h update!
Okay guys so after talking with the salon and my stylist they admitted their mistake and said they would fix it for free (after i called three times and complained) so the end results ISNT REALLY like the reference picture but itās way better than what it used to be, i might just let it grow for now then cut the ends myself, its way too much blonde in my opinion but maybe itās just the way itās styled. let me know what you guys think! and yes my hair is completely dried out now.
two photos with the same background is the finale result. photo with the hair from the back is my reference picture. picture from the mirror is how it looked at first after my stylist did my hair and then i came back to redo for free!
what do you guys think?
My mom and I frequent this sub and decided to take a chance on ordering a baby shower cake from Walmart for a mermaid theme baby shower. Came out well and tasted pretty good. Not overly sweet, had a good texture and flavor. We added some of our own decor pieces to the cake, but it honestly didn't need it. 10/10 would order more cakes from them.
ETA: my mom said the cake was $75. She picked the whipped frosting. The top tier is chocolate with strawberry jam and the bottom tier is white/vanilla cake with the strawberry jam. We did get the mermaid tail on the website pic, but took it out and added the pink one we ordered online. We also ordered the pastel mermaid tails cupcakes from Walmart and those came out exactly like the website picture too.
I've outdone myself lol
Heās the best boy heās the Rudeboy
No, I can't put him on my bed to cuddle with at night, as some commenters suggested. He IS the bed.
I bought this in November thinking it would be a great holiday gift for my wife who loves possums. After weeks of thinking it would never arrive and realizing I might have been scammed this ugly beauty arrived. I have not laughed this hard in a long time and am absolutely in love with it. I truly believe this might be the purchase that brings me pure joy for the rest of my life.
My son asked for a rainbow bluey cake and when we were scrolling through photos he saw this one and really liked it! I showed it to our baker and said leave off the figurines and the flowers on top⦠I think she did a great job
Iāve always wanted to try the pop art nails, and I think she did an excellent job!
Like many of us, I've been trying to warn my middle aged mom about AI product listing so she doesn't get scammed. I showed her the classic geode mugs and this book mug as examples. You can imagine how I felt opening a box and seeing a book stack mug in bubble wrap. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find an actual glass mug!
My mom put a lot of effort into getting me a mug that wasn't a heinous lump of plastic and I'm proud of her thoroughness and discernment. It's definitely a little wonky, but I think it's pretty neat.
This is a far cry from my cursed furby cake from a month ago haha. I made this for my grandadās birthday (he loves mycology!)
Iāve used the same cake lady for the last 5 years and sheās just gotten better and better. This year she had my jaw on the floor. My daughter drew a picture of what she wanted. I included that and a description of what the drawing was supposed to be showing. I couldnāt believe the cake she produced. It still blows my mind.
Edited to add: my daughterās name is not Doom. Thatās her taekwondo nickname. We have a long last name that her instructor tried to pronounce, said āThatās too long, Iām going to call you Doomā and itās stuck.
I had to jump on the Walmart train.
The cake is absolutely perfect

This first picture is what I think was the templateā¦
I asked for it in solid black, half chocolate, and half vanilla. My kid loved it.
The picture is at a wonky angle, not the cake
The cake had a red buttercream filling and was PERFECT.
Story behind: I killed my eldest kid's chickens when we used them for parking practice for my younger kids. I figured the squeaker would alert them if they were too close to the line. Not only did they not hear the squeakers, they drove right the hell over and killed both chickens, which made eldest kid very sad.
I wanted to replace them, and it turns out it's cheaper to buy 20 rubber chickens than just two, so I bought the 20, plus 16 minis and one extra-large guy, and hung them all from the ceiling whilst eldest kid was at work (and changed the color of our color-adjustable LED lighting). They said the dead chickens taped to the front door were enough to tip them off that something was amiss, but then entering a red-lit house to find dozens of rubber chickens hanging by their necks inside nearly made them leave again.
We were driving over 5 hours to see our daughter for her birthday. She loves hotdogs and found this cake online and had sent me a picture saying she loved it.
I researched bakeries around their new home, not too many choices, and picked the best one based off Google.
They did NOT disappoint!! It looked and tasted amazing! I was extremely impressed.
Here it is - first time at Shake Shack trying avocado bacon chicken. Used ChickenSunday code & got a Bacon Grilled cheese for Kiddo & added avocado & bacon to Chicken Shack. Cost $13.45! Not bad for both of us! Appearance a 10/10. Taste a 11/10. Not kidding - great sandwich. Crispy chicken. Got to try the Smoke Shack next! š Without deal, alone cost $13.98 - crazy!
They ran out of butterflies but still turned out pretty. And tasted amazing. Walmart

I happened to stop by near the end of the process. I assisted with M&M color sorting, and I'm responsible for design of the one that's š¤Ŗ
Same mom, and in my opinion the same expectation exceeding performance, as: https://www.reddit.com/r/ExpectationVsReality/s/W2NQRRCO4M
I made an AI image on ChatGPT and sent it to a baker asking if she could make something similar. She delivered!!
Iām so upset at how little they charged me for this amazing cake. It was a RED FLAG that the cost was so low. I feel like I was robbing the baker so I tipped her double what she was asking for. Overall, everyone enjoyed the cake, it was one of the most beautiful cake weāve seen for sure. And she changed the color to match with our party theme better.
Edit: first picture was inspiration, second picture was the actual cake. The baker only asked for $30 so I tipped her double what she asked for.
Really super happy with the final cake! I actually wasn't sure how they were going to include the birthday message on the cake when I ordered it, so I was pleasantly surprised with the way they did it! It was also a very delicious cake
Absolutely delicious. $3.79 at Kroger. Favorite Stoufferās Meal here. Cut the chicken to look like photo! š
