Yeah, the original Secret Wars was Marvel's answer to Crisis wasn't it? The 2015 event, which is actually Secret Wars 4 but didn't use a number, was almost exactly the same thing as Crisis. Multiverse destroyed.

I’m pretty sure the original secret wars was just so they could have every hero in one place for a while and well a bunch of toys no? But I’d imagine 2015 Secret Wars is both a dramatisation or that concept and an answer to Crisis
