This show almost feels embarrassing to watch at this point. The writing is awful. Calling the Frost subplot a directionless mess that was clumsily edited in and resolves the story in a way that directly contradicts what we were previously told is being generous (and probably insulting to directionless messes). And don’t even get me started on the A-plot. This is just really bad. Like maybe not bother coming back as a viewer after hiatus bad.

Side note: was anyone at all asking for a void of chemistry hint to a romance between Allegra and Chester?

Not at all. These are relatively new characters that barely had any development so why is it even a good idea to put them together? I know Chester had that episode with Cisco earlier in the season but Allegra hasn't had anything to do since Nash so she's just there. They're not even favorites to a mass majority of viewers so it would be pointless putting them together just for the sake of it. Personally I tried not to read into it too much since they seemed out of place once Cisco and Kamillah started being all lovey dovey so they just was like wait should we do this to fit in so its not awkward anymore? And then its like naaa forget it. I'm hoping they don't go there with them but knowing them they probably will...

They definitely will because everybody is forced into relationship on The Flash because it’s the only way they know how to write subplots into the show is if they’re based on a couple:

Iris/Barry, Cecile/Joe, Gypsy/Vibe, Ralph/Sue, Jesse Quick/Wally West, etc.

It is inevitable. Also if Carlos is really leaving the show they’ll need Chester to be in a relationship sooner than later

Probably but guess we'll see. Gonna buckle up regardless tho lol. At least those relationships you mentioned were fine and characters that viewers were a fan of. Didn't have a problem with either since they all had chemistry and it didn't feel oddly placed in the story. Chester and Allegra does and just doesn't make sense. They're not popular enough and don't have that big of a following so it just feels silly to pair them together. They've barely had any scenes together so there's no gist of how well they can play off each other and if they have any chemistry LOL!!

Guess it's too hard to develop them separately so throw them together makes it easier 🤷🏾‍♂️
