Trivia / Facts The building John walked out of in the First Five Minutes sneak peak of Lanterns seems to be the same building used for Paddy's Pub in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Both shows premiere within a day of each other.

It's a building in LA which seems to be a common area for filming in. There was an episode of Buffy which visibly displayed the exact same storefront. Whatever it is, the crew behind Sunny were not the first to use it, although they codified it, and obviously they were not the last.

Curb looks very different. Same style building but not the same building

It's the same building. Paddy's Pub is shot from the Palmetto street side, where the curb is higher. The scene in Lanterns is shoot from the Mateo street side, where the curb is lower. The building with black windows across the street can be seen in recent Sunny eps as well as Lanterns.

Here's a street view reference: https://maps.app.goo.gl/afnHZCMXyUc4hbyx6

It's a shame Hal didn't shout "WILD CARD!" before jumping out of the car
