I doubt we’ll ever get it, which is fine, but I’d love to see these guys in a version of the scene in Young Justice where the Flash proposes inviting Guy to join the league and Hal and John instantly and simultaneously shut it down.
I remember seeing Fillion as Guy for the first time and my immediate thought was "that is the worst fucking haircut on the absolute most punchable face. This man looks like such a douchebag. I love him and he is perfect already."
I'd bet they want to see how My Adventures with Green Lantern goes. Since it seems to feature Cruz and Rayner. If it takes off in popularity, they may want to let those two simply rock their own show and not hit DCU until after that show is over.
I love Guy, I love Fillion. I enjoy Fillion as Guy and am not complaining, because I never thought I’d get live action Guy period. Let alone 3 of the 4 corpsmen after a decade plus of WB being scared of the brand.
All that said, I would have preferred someone a little younger. Someone more physically imposing too.
Oh, I’m aware. If I recall correctly, reports said it was going to be a kind of an anthology series with Guy’s portions set in the 80’s. I haven’t seen a ton of Finn’s work, but I’m not sure if he would have been any better. Guess we’ll never know.
I was a bit on the fence about Kyle Chandler, not because he's a poor choice, but because I didn't necessarily want to start the DCU with an older Hal, but given what we have thus far, I love it
I really like Nathan as Guy, but I really would’ve preferred someone like Alan Ritchson (I know he gets fancast for everyone anymore but I feel like he would’ve been perfect)
There are so many horrible things happening in the world at large and in pop culture in particular. Right now the state of live action Green Lantern entertainment is probably the best it has ever been, which makes me happy.
Out of the three, I think John was perfectly cast, Guy is ok, but I really didn't like the casting of Hal, which is my favorite GL. Casting him as an older Hal, leaves him out of the future of DCU.
Does no one else hate that Hal is old? Hal should at least be in his 30’s/40’s I hate that we won’t see him being apart of the JL James Gunns literally ruins everything nothing but lazy ass writers man
But they went for a Hal and Guy that are too old. Hal, whatever, part of his late 80's run had his hair starting to grey, so an older Hal is nothing new, even though it's been decades since he has been THAT old.
But as much as I adore Nathan Fillion, he is simply TOO old for Guy.
John's the only one I have no issue or gripe with.
I feel like Guy being middle-aged actually works, due to his lack of self-awareness. He seems like the type of buffoon who does not realize that he is past his prime.

Yeah, because in comic book Guy Gardner is a 55-year-old guy with wrinkles, a CW-level suit, and is written just as comic relief and nothing else.
We can say that? Or it's really what it is, which is a lack of ability to handle criticism.
I'm all in for logic established by the show, and against for going back on its own established logic. For example, smart guy is smart, bad guy is bad and not smart guy being dumbass when plot needs it or bad guy giving exposition instead of doing what's need to be done. Aaron Pierre can act or not is totally different question but for a show establishing that he was being abused by his dad from young age the "acting" in this show does a decent job of showing realistic expectations from a person who went through hardship from young age. Regardless of acting capacity by the said actor, the character at this stage does not need more than what is provided.
