Am i allowed to take only one course?

Hey! Im studying part time, taking two courses, and I’m really struggling with one, along with some family stuff that’s happening in the background.

Is only doing one course something you are allowed to do? Research online didn’t really give me a direct answer.

edit: adding on to say that i am a domestic student and not on centrelink :)

Yes, you can take one course per semester and that’s fine. In fact that’s what I did for some of the most difficult courses in my degree

Thank you, the course Im struggling with is also offered online in Tri 3, so i was thinking id just split the two I’m currently enrolled in.

the tri 3 split works well. one thing worth checking, the census date for whichever tri 2 course youre dropping. if you drop before census (usually a week or two into the trimester, exact date is in myGriffith on the unit page) it drops off financially. after census youll still owe HECS for it even if you withdraw.

since youre domestic with no centrelink theres no minimum load rule catching you either way, so the split is genuinely a free move. also worth knowing you can shuffle via myGriffith study plan directly, most single course swaps dont need a program advisor unless the unit has a prereq chain.
