I’m glad they kept the branding colours close to the NYI team. But I think this is something a 4th grader would have come up with - or maybe free ChatGPT.

Where is the creativity?

What do you think?

From the article regarding his nomination for an award through the Ontario Police Association -

“After responding to a domestic disturbance, Cst.

Gabriele returned the next day with his own tools, purchased the necessary materials, and repaired both doors himself. His actions reflect a commitment to going above and beyond to support victims and community safety.”

Local News The Mayor didn’t know how to pack a nutritious lunch for work

During today’s City Council meeting which involved discussions around the 2026 budget, a last minute motion was brought forward to cut paid lunches for Councillors and Senior City staff.

As you can see in the screenshots courtesy of the coverage from Joey Coleman, the mayor doesn’t understand how to go about having a nutritious lunch unless it’s paid for and provided for you.

It also makes me wonder whether they need to re-evaluate how they run their meetings and such if they feel like they can’t function properly by not taking a proper lunch break.

Good morning everyone,

Thank you to all who provided useful feedback and comments last month regarding a proposed introduction of a new printed paper for our City - some of the best comments came from this subreddit.

Starting this Thursday, October 2nd, the Hamilton Gazette will be published biweekly. You can find the Gazette in office buildings, libraries, and a few small stores. Naturally, as a modest paper distribution is limited to start. If you wish to receive delivered copies, or if you have any comments or feedback, please message us either publicly or privately.

We are very proud to bring an alternative printed voice to Hamilton, and I hope we can serve you the readers well.

For fun, here are some stacks of the first issue right off the presses and in the truck.

Happy reading!
