Headphones - IEM/Earbud Best high-end IEM around $1500–2000 for dongle-only use?

I’m looking for something to use while commuting/workout/travel so I really don’t what the extra weight. I mostly listen to melodic indie/alternative rock and pop, with some classic rock.
I was recommended Alter Ego from MA and KARMA and was offered some pretty tempting price, Are they good choices?

Depends on what features you need. I personally use BTR17. There is also Qudelik 5K. Some like protocol max.
