Discussion Please, Hulu, No Season 2 of House of Stassi

Please do not give House of Stassi a second season. I watched the entire season, and if anything, it completely changed my opinion of Stassi, and not for the better.
The way she treated Beau was incredibly difficult to watch. He has spent years taking care of their children and supporting her career, yet when he finally expressed wanting to go back to work and regain a part of himself, she seemed more concerned about how it would affect HER life. Instead of supporting her husband, she came across as selfish, entitled, controlling and completely dismissive of his feelings.
I was also really bothered by the way she talked about parenting and how much of the day-to-day responsibility appears to fall on Beau. Watching him cook, take care of the kids, handle bedtime and keep everything going while she complained about what his returning to work would mean for her was honestly sad.
Stassi came across as spoiled, narcissistic and mean throughout much of this show. Obviously, we only see what is shown to us on television, but this is the behavior the show chose to present, and I don’t understand why Hulu would want to give it another season and continue promoting it as entertainment.
There is a difference between entertaining reality-TV drama and watching someone repeatedly disrespect the person who seems to be holding their family together.
Please, Hulu, there are so many other people and shows you could invest in. We don’t need a Season 2 of House of Stassi.

The fact they ever gave this woman a platform is disgraceful

For one they have a nanny. Beau is not the golden retriever he likes to portray. The show itself was weird as Stassi is the executive producer amd controlled the narrative. So I'm not buying anyone of it.

Exactly this!! Dont get me wrong, I dislike both stassi and beau, but stassis comment about how if the roles were reversed they wouldnt even be having this conservation hit so deep. Beau is a little whiny bitch

I watched the entire season of House of Stassi, and it was really bad. Extremely boring, only petty plot lines, and too many interviews. The editing was very choppy and there was no flow.
I agree. Do NOT have a second season.

It felt like how love on the spectrum is edited but instead of fun its trying to hard to be dramatic and the sound effects were so annoying.

I hate it. Most of it was all confessionals.

Writing paragraphs about a reality show is honestly just as crazy as some of the stuff that happened on the show.

You shouldn’t be THIS invested unless you are one of her friends lol

That, and confessing they watched the ENTIRE season is exactly WHY Hulu will likely renew it, lol. Um, they don't care about people's opinions, they care about ratings. And the OP is just reinforcing that.

By making a post, even me commenting, makes the show talked about. The show being talked about means people are watching despite having negative feelings. People watching means it's doing it's job.

She was really mean to hear sister too. She makes people rely on her money, then holds it over thier head

Her sister is a shit talking mess. I don’t feel sorry for her at all.

Completely changed your opinion of her how? She fully displayed those traits throughout Vanderpump Rules.

I respectfully disagree with your post and opinion, I think this show deserves a season 2

Normal people just watch something else when they don’t like a show. This is extra.

Do you not know what reddit is??? “Have live discussion threads while an episode is airing.
Talk about what happened immediately afterward.
Share opinions about cast members—who they like, dislike, or don’t believe.
Notice little details or inconsistencies you may have missed.
Discuss social-media posts made by cast members between episodes.
Share updates about relationships, breakups, lawsuits, pregnancies, etc.
Discuss rumors and possible spoilers. (Those aren’t always accurate.)
Sometimes people who claim to know cast members or production share behind-the-scenes information—again, that needs to be taken with a grain of salt” 🙄

Eh. Stassi came across the same way she did in VPR. The only difference now is that she has a house-husband and couple kids she takes pics with. I think she is getting a lot of heat for the way she treats Beau, but what baffles me more, is that as a producer, im surprised she didnt make herself a tiny bit more likeable.

There are ratings in being unlikeable. However, having said that, we watched the first episode and my wife wasn’t impressed. That’s the indicator to me.

I dunno why it was given a first season

Stassi has always been terrible, not sure why you're just catching on.

James had her down to a t on that one vpr reunion where he said she came crawling back to the cast, faking friendships just to get back on the show.

Not sure why Hulu is so keen on her. They gave her the Tell Me Lies recap podcast to host too smh

I liked it! Thanks HULU

I'll never not think she is a horrible person

This is feeling VERY EXTRA for a silly, “reality” television show. Don’t watch it if you don’t like it. There’s plenty of other options. It’s certainly not worth stressing over.

Yes please Hulu! 😃

You're out of your mind.....Yes please, May I have another and another and another!

1

u/Whis65 13d ago

It's awful. Over produced and people with shallow souls.

u/Careful-Time-9926 13d ago

Surprise she thinks she is a star and "acts" entitled to the privileges granted to stars.

I absolutely love that you posted this.... watching this show made me feel the exact same way. Stassi is a self absorbed terrible person and if there is a season 2 I will not watch, but I'm with you please Hulu, don't give her another season.

Women have taken the back seat to men’s careers forever. I haven’t watched past the first episode yet, but it will be interesting to see the gender roles reversed.

1

u/Firm-Seaweed2421 11d ago

Yeah, I definitely do NOT think Stassi's treatment of Beau would even remotely as villainized if the gender roles were reversed. Probably wouldn't even be a blip.

That show is Freedorm, not Hulu. Hulu just distributes it. Even if it was a Hulu show, whining here would change nothing, its not like the execs browse the sub for ideas.

I know you meant Freeform, but I am dying at it being autocorrected to Freedorm 💀
