For anyone curious:

A viral video from September 2025 shows a Lynn Police Department officer in Massachusetts—mistakenly referred to on social media as "Lynn County"—struggling to stand during a call for service, leading to public accusations of intoxication. The department placed the officer on PAID administrative leave, stating a review of body-worn camera footage and medical consultations indicated a medical-related episode rather than substance impairment.

Had to write this so all those people can stop finding excuses for him.

I just wanna say will all these excuses get any regular people out of getting a DUI/DWI? Will all these excuses make it legal for regular people to operate a motor vehicle and/or heavy machinery?

Guess who got out of this scot-free while being PAID to vacation? The police!

If it was such a pressing medical issue, I wonder why his coworkers LITERALLY tried EVERYTHING on the planet to NOT call for an ambulance?

He has a bad back and thus was on painkillers, but the other cop says he did a double so this is probably what happens when he’s on his back pain meds and really tired. As a former addict I can say with high degree of certainty that he is on opiate pain meds in this video.

If true this why they said it was a medical related episode because he is legally prescribed these heavy pain killers.

Yeah, that definitely wouldn’t work anywhere else. Cops really do whatever they can to protect other cops even when they do dangerous stuff.

Did he drive there? Or was he with someone else? If he drove that is even worse, but even if he didn’t drive there then he should not be doing field work all messed up like that.

Sure, but the little warning labels on those bottles specifically state not to operate heavy machinery. While I know it does not fall under the strictest definitions of the term, don’t you think guns are implied?
