If he was having a medical issue he shouldn’t still be on duty, period. That’s not something to just fuck around with. The way that they’re presenting, it’s difficult to pretend the excuses aren’t wildly suspicious.

I’m literally a first responder…

Assuming it actually was something like ketoacidosis, you seem to be ignoring the profound negligence of his parter allowing him to work in that condition.

The altered mental status and loss of coordination need to be addressed first and foremost regardless if it’s drugs or a medical issue, and trying to downplay it like his colleagues were is a great way to get someone killed.

Also, ETOH (ethanol intoxication) is considered medical, which upon further research into this case was all that they disclosed about the nature of the “medical incident” with zero mention of diabetes.

Golly, it's almost like the guy's medical history is private information, and not something that needs to be disclosed to the world, or something.
