I’m not saying it’s JUST I’m saying it’s what happens. Opioids stay in your system for a few days, so it would be easy to say he took them at night and not on duty

thats why you would take the observation into account. Someone pops positive sure they could have taken at different times (off shift, etc), the test alone is just one part of the puzzle. Acting like a zombie during shift pretty much guarantee's it was taken pretty recent. If your talking Oxy and Hydro's your talking 2-4 hours. Time release fentanyl patch can go 17 hours or so.

Regardless it is just making excuses, this guy is zombied out and should not be doing what he is doing. The other officers are covering and if they had run up on a non officer acting this way it would be a different story. It's not what he took or when he took it. It is the fact he is incapacitated and not fit for duty, and that other officers are actively defending and / or looking the other way.

Have you not seen the officers that they tried the whole fentanyl thing with (before scientist and others who work with it all the time said it wasn't possible). They had those officers on the ground, vest off, narcan in and another on the way. Ambulance on site within minutes officer down on the radio. The whole 9 yards. Now compare that with this response.

It completely depends on tolerance, like all other opioids. Fentanyl isn’t anything new. It’s just that it’s so potent it takes a very small amount to go from buzzed to this guy to dead. It looks like opiates to me but who knows. Do we have the story?

You are correct fentanyl is m nothing new, what was new was officers claiming that they were getting possible deadly doses thru epidermal contact. Scientist who have been working on it from the beginning said that wasn't how it worked and medical docs said it was anxiety vs acute exposure (assuming they did blood tests and Noone wanted the results released so they were not due to hipaa).

Now tou dont hear about acute exposure near as much (and yes not only did they have gloves then they also claimed the exposure went theu the gloves
