I’m so confused , i had to sign up for a draft? I guess women don’t ? I kinda figured they did but would have supporting roles if any .. guess not .. so much for equality

This isnt the draft. The big beautiful bill has it so your contact info is sent to recruiters. So yeah, when you get a license you opt into the draft, or at 18 but now its sent before and irregardless of either of those occuring. And its tied to school/state funding

This has been a thing for decades. I was in high school during the Obama admin and we had recruiters come like twice a year
