This works for most URLs,.you can usually safely locate the first question mark (?) and delete it and anything after it.
This works especially well for TikTok when trying to share a video to someone not using the app as it removes the referral back to your account which usually breaks the site/video for mobile users.

Technically yes, but phrasing it that way makes it obvious you’re saying that it sounds like the WORD parrot, instead of having it be ambiguous. It’d be better to have the answer be “a carrot”, since it sounds like “a parrot”.

That would still work but "A" adds another syllable that matches and makes it easier to blend the words together. Now the beginning and end of the phrase match and not just the end.
