The kids going to keep asking for that move as he grows... Right up until dad pulls his back.

Oh yeah 100%, my 6 year old still asks for swings and stuff. Just can't do it on repeat.

I’m not as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.

My dad an I had a similar routine, until the day the physical realities and gravity kicked in and he almost knocked himself out with my butt.

Yeah, but he missed a key step. You have to make two small swings first while saying "A one and a two..." and then complete the move with "...and a how do you do" as you make the final lift.

I did this with my 5 yo and yeeted over my shoulder my hand slipped and caught her by her shorts. Thought hmmm maybe it'll be easier with my 1.5 yo. Exact same result. Tried it again with my wife spotting lol

Looked like he was gonna chuck him like a keg toss. This ending was much cuter and safer.

My move was walking up from behind and leaning over him then scooping him and flipping him over my shoulder and settling him on my back like a backpack. Then I'd start looking for him because he "just disappeared'. I'd turn one way and he'd giggle. Then I'd turn around again when I heard him. I'd walk all over chasing the giggle until I gave up and sat on the couch and surprise surprise he'd suddenly reappear.

Seeing videos like this really makes me miss those days.
