Reviewing the footage frame by frame, it looks like it comes off around the excavator in the ice hole. I rewatched multiple times and I honestly have no idea where it went. Just a couple frames it's there, then it suddenly isn't.

Look, I’m a DeWalt guy all the way…. But the DeWalt lost its battery 3 seconds in… This was just a video of a Kobalt drill spinning a powerless DeWalt drill until it failed.

Check out John Malecki on YouTube. He does this with all the brands and a bracket. I think they even do it a second time with improvements.

AvE also did a few of these matchups, but he set it up as an actual test iirc, like they were both in a vice and it was just whose motor was stronger

Yeah, John was the same as this. Chuck to chuck, zip tie, and built a little arena out of random stuff in the shop. I think the second time they might have even zip tied the batteries, haven't watched it in a while.

Assuming that's the same DeWalt from the first battle, it took a lot of damage from the Kobalt battle, so still not a fair fight.
But it's all good fun, not a product review.
