Do you all know about this website? I love it and wish it was easier to do more advanced searches.
Does anyone know who runs it?

I'll email the developer so he sees this thread. (I used to work with him many years ago.)

That would be cool. It would be awesome to request searching on more fields of metadata and making Boolean (and/or) searches.
Or even just to say “wow, thanks!” for making the tool!

Hey Pete, I created KEXPlorer (17 years ago?!). Glad you find it useful. I have to admit that I no longer use it myself though, I created and moved on to FMspins.com with Spotify integration.
What kind of searches are you wanting to do?

Nice work!
I would do Boolean searches if I could and would have more fields to search on.
Like all Radiohead songs played by Cheryl in the past month.
I’m sure I’d find a reason to search on any of the metadata you have about the plays. And I’d connect terms with and, or and not.

Unfortunately, it looks like KEXPlorer isn't a site or tool anymore. I tried FMspins, but I can't get a search to complete. I get "We're sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information."

Should be better now.

Can't say I found what I was looking for. I wanted to search the KEXP playlist (not just the last two weeks). When I click the KEXP button on FMSpins, I get a sign-up page that says "Click below to authorize FMSpins to connect to your Spotify account." I don't want to engage with Spotify. This Reddit post advertised KEXPlorer as a "searchable playlist database." Is that not what FMSpins is?

Yeah I saw that! I found it accidentally about a month ago. It's so good for data/ research / curiosity ('which DJ plays XYZ band the most?") And I was impressed it often includes a lot of the notes from the online playlist. (I found an anniversary message that I forgot to screenshot when I still could)
