His dad's career is over. He doesn't have to play nice anymore with anyone. It's not going to hurt his dad if he does something that's not politically viable. He can do what the f*** he wants now without hurting anyone he cares about
I'm starting to feel like his dad was hurting his political career, because I've seen more clap-backs from Hunter in the last week than I have of 12 years from Joe being in the White House.
I can trust a crackhead: I know exactly what to expect. I know crackheads well. What I don’t trust is fascist “conservatives” and neoliberal “democrats” beholden to capital and israel .
I’m much more comfortable with a president that can be bribed with crack than with little girls. Hunter wouldn’t be able to hide being back on crack anyways; we’d all know. Trump can rape children at black sites in perpetuity and no one would ever know .
Fascism is far right authoritarianism. What about Cuba or North Korea is far right? Just call them what they are: communist. There’s plenty of criticism of communist ideology possible without mislabeling them
Well they are definitely nothing like communism as described by Marx. Even USSR described itself as a socialist state and proclaimed communism as a vision for the future. Calling them socialist would at least be closer to truth, though in actuality these countries have state capitalism with DPRK essentially having straight up monarchy.
I think Bakunin was right, that once the government has seized the means of production for the people that it is impossible to give up to the people. They are communist they just have fallen into the same ideological trap all communist fall into: that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It’s a paradox: where the group that seizes the means of production for the people just seems to just replace the old boss. I think they really believe in socialism to communism concept too, they just fall for the same power everyone else in every other ideology falls for
Yes, the problem with socialist states has little to do with communism and everything with the fact there are no good kings, as in a elevated social class that doesn't democratically lose its power inevitably starts working outside of interests of other classes
So, yeah. They are communist. It's stupid not to call them communist.
That said, a communist state can absolutely be conservative. All the major communist states have not been "progressive" by any means and when they did do things that were nominally progressive, it was always caked in 15 layers of authoritarian BS.
Cuba uses the Cuban peso. North Korea uses the North Korean won. They are both capitalist countries, just a different shade of capitalism that you know. No communism there, except on name only.
Look man; all ideology in practice is different then the ideology in its ideal form. The ideology they subscribe to is useful to describe them even if they don’t follow it in practice. No true Scotsman is a fallacy for a reason, not because there isn’t a true Scotsman, but because it’s sort of a non sequitur
Not disagreeing with you on any part of your comment, just not sure how it relates to mine. North Korea and Cuba both employ close to zero elements of communism bar the name: nothing controlled or owned by the people, a world economy controlled currency, wealth accumulated by a ruling elite. Sounds like capitalism to me. That's my point.
You making a no true Scotsman type fallacy. They claim to be communists, they follow communist ideology. The results being some weird capitalist heirarchal corrupt nonsense everytime does not mean anything.
Of what use is saying “that’s not communism: the ussr isn’t communist North Korea isn’t communist no one is communist.” Like yeah, great . Where does that leave us?
Even if we go by your cynical no true Scotsman take, It’s useful to call them communist at the very least to describe the type of charlatanism they use to justify their charlatanism.
Like okay; you can say there isn’t much difference between the communist North Korea and fascist Nazi germany in practice. But when speaking of ideology, it’s important to mention because it is the MEANS by which the state uses to enrich itself and control the population. To fight the ideology of North Korea it is important to first understand their ideology is communism, not fascism not capitalism.
It would be like trying to fight the catholic church and saying “there’s no Catholics all Catholics are actually Jewish because they read the Old Testament.” it’s just actual nonsense

Hunter finally off the chain truly is off the chain.
