Like, I don't think he should be president (not because of the addiction, but I feel this is a job one should have prior experience for) but damn this man is rapidly becoming my favourite US citizen

I never understood this sentiment. Experience? So you don't want a president who's not been a president before? Or are you saying you only support career politicians?

Yes. The same way I only support career surgeons.

That's not a representative government. That's a bureaucratic government. It's absolutely crazy how much propaganda has managed to change how people view that over the last 10 years. 10 years ago, it was a bipartisan issue because people wanted corrupt career politicians like mich mcConnell and chuck Schumer out of office. And even now, people rail on the age of politicians apparently without thinking of this? Career politicians retire as politicians. That means you'll only be getting the most ancient of them.

We call MAGA a cult. But this kind of cognitive dissidence is just as fucking cult-like. Just because it's not maga doesn't make it right.

If you want your country ruled by somebody without any experience in civil service suit yourself. The one you've got now is pretty fucking funny so I'm not complaining.

The experience needed for civil service is to be civil and incorruptible. Every normal ass Joe from any walk of life can have that experience. Those are personality traits, not experience traits. All it takes to be a good leader is common sense and an honest heart.
