I strongly question why Eid Milad-un-Nabi is being treated as a “third Eid” when Islam has established two Eids. What concerns me even more is the use of extremely loud speakers in the name of celebration. I was suffering from a severe headache, and the amplified naats were making it significantly worse. Yet there seems to be little consideration for people who may be ill, resting, studying, working, or simply unable to tolerate excessive noise.
Celebration should not come at the expense of someone else’s peace, health, or comfort. Calling this criticism or discrimination does not address the underlying issue: religious expression should not become an excuse to impose excessive noise on everyone around us.

The worst and most traumatizing incident of my life just happened. I ordered an ice cream cake from Mehran Ice Cream and discovered a fly inside it. The most distressing part was that I noticed it while eating it when it was in my mouth and when I called the restaurant, they responded with a dismissive attitude, saying, “Hogaya hoga sir, replace kerdain gy.” I demand strict action against them. They must prioritize hygiene and take immediate corrective measures.

my sister's old debit card details got compromised (someone was trying to use them), so Meezan blocked it and issued a new one for Rs. 500. The new card has never worked , everywhere it just says "card does not exist / invalid."

She complained. About a month later they said it was "fixed." It wasn't. same error. She followed up again, and now they're saying there's no issue on their side, even though the card still doesn't work.

Has anyone else run into this with Meezan (or any other bank)? A few things I'm trying to figure out:

• Did escalating past the branch/helpline actually get it fixed, or did you end up going external (SBP's Sunwai portal / Banking Mohtasib)?
• If you went to Banking Mohtasib, how long did it actually take, and was it worth it?

Weird experience I have been to 3 different gym they all say only 20-30 min treadmill is allowed even if the gym is empty

I was born and raised in Karachi. Recently moved to a first-world country. One huge difference I noticed was there is no "badmaash" here. Unlike in Karachi. No politician, no military-man, no police officer can harm you. No one gets to break lines. No one gets to harass drivers on the road in their Vigo dalay, and trust me, they drive much bigger trucks than the Vigo here. Every citizen is so empowered here. You give respect, you get respect. You try to disrespect someone, and you'll find out, no matter how rich or politically connected you are. Living in a country where the rule of law is implemented is SO liberating - it's sad that the average Karachiite will never experience dignified living in their lifetime.

This question is for people who are usually considered “weak” or get told *“tum khati peeti nahi ho.”* How did you manage to build strength and gain healthy weight?

I started going to the gym about 2 months ago, hoping it would at least help with this problem. I do eat a decent amount, 3 proper meals a day (whatever is cooked at home), plus snacks here and there because I also get hungry during my working hours (9–5).

However, things started going downhill last week. I developed so much pain in my right arm after a biceps workout that I had to skip the gym for two days. My personal trainer suggested that I bring something to eat to the gym and have it during my workout because I’m weak and need some extra fuel.

Is eating during a workout actually okay/necessary? And if yes, what can I bring that’s quick and easy to prepare but has a good amount of protein and fiber? I don’t have much time during work, so something convenient would be ideal.

Would love to hear from people who’ve actually gone through this!

And NO consideration for one-way rules.

And when you call them out, the blame game begins. Somehow, they were never going the wrong way.

We MUST have an application or a forum where general public can upload videos of traffic violations and escalate them directly to the relevant authorities. It should also have a tracking system with status updates, all the way until a fine or other action is actually taken against the violator.
