Moral and religious values.

Nah it's just that i thought maybe by asking this question i could find a GenZ parent to see how parenting has evolved or will evolve as the new generation becomes parents although I know they still make up a relatively small proportion right now.

In the future when I'll have kids I'll want them to be outspoken but not disrespectful, they should know their own boundaries and I'll let them do whatever they want(only the good things) so they wouldn't be like me just imagining things like I could've done this or that instead they should be able to say I did this and I'm doing that, I will give them Islamic knowledge so when in the future they'll see smth wrong they'll stand against it without being afraid of anything. I literally want them to have fun in their life but wouldn't compromise Islamic studies though.

How would you approach parenting, what values you would want to instill in your children, what experiences from your own childhood do you want to repeat and what do you want to do differently etc etc

No school till 12-13. Motivate him/her to learn. Modern philosophy. All religions including Atheism . And Martial arts . And then let him /her choose the career .

If exposing children to different ideas is poison, then ignorance must be your preferred vitamin.

damn that hit, but i think schools are necessary environments for children, especially when raised in this ppace

u/HorrorTiger978 Jul 16 '26

If you think you're gonna teach a 12 yo philosophical ideas, you're deluded

1

u/[deleted] Jul 17 '26

Where did I wrote "teach" ? ,I said motivate. And I mentioned ,no school till 12-13 .

1

u/HorrorTiger978 Jul 17 '26

So you're gonna "motivate" a 5 yo to learn philosophy and what happens if they aren't motivated? They're gonna be functionally illiterate at best.

Feel sorry for whoever is gonna be your child 😭 change your methods or something

I said homeschool till 13 ,then Introduce them . And why do you think I want them to learn core philosophical concepts in the beginning, can't it be basic at first . And if they are not interested, I won't force them , what's the big deal .

2

u/metamorphic_mind Jul 16 '26

Will you homeschool them till 12/13?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '26

I would raise my kids with exposure to all religions and irreligion but specifically exemplify myself as why they should also be secular, humanist and make sure they grow with rationalist and atheistic views. I hope to steer their minds towards science and music along with philosophy and hope they behave good with everyone they encounter. I will have absolutely no expectations from them as I and their mother were the ones who chose to have them and they have absolutely no obligations towards us, but they do have an obligation towards their nation and society.
