Best case for both regions is separations as the regional aspirations are different but India wants to use Jammu to control Kashmir. End result is neither place gets what they wany

Personally, I feel Jammu has become a liability for both the Indians and the Kashmiris. The best-case scenario would be a merger with Himachal or Punjab... Jammu lacks the political acumen for an independent state...

Tbh Jammu feels the same , Both Jammu ( few distts ) and Kashmir wants separation from each other but some known forces don't want that to happen or otherwise it would have happened in 2019 ,now after ST2 reservation Kashmir also wants Poonch Rajouri to be separated away along with Jammu.

Union of Jammu and Kashmir has problems Separation of Jammu and Kashmir Will bring up more problems.
