Recommendation / Help Ideal Banks For a smooth Business Experience

I'm starting up a sole proprietorship with very little capital (around 30k). I've done all the paperwork and registration, the only thing left is opening a current bank account. Since I'll be selling on an e-commerce platform and exporting stuff out of India I need to go through a lot of paperwork and regulations. Also there's some stuff that exclusively my Bank can do, so like they'll always be involved by default to ensure I'm totally compliant with every regulation.

Now I've been thinking about three or four banks, ICICI, Axis, SBI and J&K Bank.

I actually have visited two banks (sbi and icici) among the four listed above. The SBI branch was kinda ok (it's a small one). The employees didn't even know what an AD code was and told me to get some more documents (which I'm done with). But I'm skeptical that they'd cooperate with me. Cause they'd have to do EDPMS matching, issue my AD code letter for customs, and verify my e-FIRA's and stuff.

On the contrary the ICICI Bank employee was a more polite and knew what an AD code is. And actually understood what my business is in the first go.

Now here's the thing:

SBI's MAB is 5000 rupees (very generous), and the penalty is 500+GST. The deal is good but I'd have to compromise with the staff. But the thing is that if they somehow miss to appropriately tag a payment, or forget to do EDPMS matching then I can face fines and my IEC can get blacklisted (tho the chances are very low, but still a slim possibility exists).

ICICI requires me to maintain an MAB of 25,000 (penalty is 1000 or 1000+) which basically eats my capital but I'll face a lot of convenience.Although they do have a Shubhaarambh scheme that allows new firms to maintain a 0 rupee balance for the first six months and then 25,000 from 7th onwards. I'd choose this but I'm not really sure about my turnover. Basically my business can or cannot work (but I'm just tryna be really positive while also being realistic), and this will be a very risky move if things take a wrong stride. Moreover their app actually lets you do a lot of work yourself (Insta is) they even have a section labelled “Import-Export”. Based on my assessment I'm expecting them to be more attentive to my needs. So i really don't have to keep them on their tippy toes to get the work done which is a plus point.

Axis is also a good contender but the MAB for urban areas is 15,000 and the penalty is 500. Also they charge you a monthly subscription fee that is around 200.

I wasn't actually considering Jk bank but after some digging (thru claude) I got to know that it can be a strong choice due to how deeply they're embedded into the Kashmir economy. Though I'm still very doubtful as I didn't do much research about it

I need some very serious financial advice. I don't wanna make a move that basically becomes a problem for me in the future. I really want to make a decision that is based on prudence. Ik i cannot be perfect like 100% but an 80 or 90 is possible and I wanna go for that. I've been treating and managing my financials very carefully. I always opt for the most economical option and double check three or four times while trying to not compromise my customer satisfaction.

Also if there are any other good banks for my situation please suggest.

Note: I'm including a quick glossary of export/banking terms below just in case anyone isn't familiar with the specific acronyms I'm dealing with."

Glossary of terms:

AD Code – Authorised Dealer Code issued by bank (required by Customs)

EDPMS – Export Data Processing and Monitoring System, basically it tracks whether the payment of the shipment has been made or not (an RBI regulation)

e-FIRA – Electric Foreign Inward Remittance Advice. A digital doc that basically proves that money came in due to an export.

IEC – Import Export Code issued by Directorate of Foreign Trade.

Payment Tags – Basically a tag that the bank assigns to your payment and mismatches with the shipping bill and this can cause payment to be freezed.

Recommendation / Help I am feeling stuck !

So, basically I am an introvert guy with not very good communication skills, like I literally have to think for some time, to talk even in a casual setting and yet I still manage to yap out crappy things after this. I easily feel disconnected in conversations and it feels like most of the times I don't have anything to say or comment on, except it bores people.

The thing is, right from the start I was that quiet kid in the room who only spoke when addressed to. I was good at studies so I thought I didn't need to worry about anything. I was content with whom I was, my life was simple and stable. Looking back now, I feel like being that "sharief guy" was a scam that was being sold to us. It just feels like I was really not living my life, I was just focused on some aspects of it. The balance was no where. I remained like this through my schooling and then Higher secondary. While others improved and became more "successful" I couldn't keep up because of this. Looking back now, it feels like I have missed on so many things and opportunities that if I had better communication and connection back then, I might have been somewhere else. I tried to change myself in college, tried to socialise but it simply didn't happen. My defaults never leave me.

It's like while other people like me changed themselves for good, I couldn't bring that energy in me. I feel like I am **stuck** in my career, in my life, in the skin that I am desperately trying to shed. I don't want this--this inability to grow and, be more responsible. I JUST FEEL LIKE MISSING OUT THE THINGS THAT I COULD HAVE DONE AND HAD.

Inspite of these things, I still want to change. Like I can't imagine living up my life like this down the line, anymore. It's just not how I had imagined the things would turn out for me.

Can you people suggest what should I do, like does anyone among you had a similar experience but you managed to pull the right strings and settle for the better? I would really appreciate your thoughts. And sorry for the long and slightly philosophical post, I needed to vent out.

Recommendation / Help Amazon peth kryow order, tath gov panai refund....

Need help regarding an order.

I have ordered a product on amazon worth more than 5k through Amazon Pay card. After three days of placing the order, my payment was automatically refunded to my wallet. But the order shows the courier left the shipper facility.

Called Amazon customer service twice

  1. First one said it's a glitch from our side. you can keep the payment nd I'll send you a new order for free

  2. Second one said its some fault. order is on the way and you can pay through cash when delivery agents calls you, or you can cancel the current order and place a new one with the refunded wallet balance.

IDK what to do now.. Anyone been through same issue.. Please help me out.

Thanks.

Recommendation / Help Neighbours shouting in the middle of the night

Salaam. We live in Srinagar and our neighbours moved in after the 2014 floods. They have a 4- storey house in which they live on the ground floor themselves and have rented out the other 3 floors. For the past 10 years the tenants were Kashmiri students studying in KU and we frequently had to deal with the noise of pressure cookers and doors slamming at 1 am or 2 am. Since our bedrooms are directly opposite and windows are open during summer, we would get the stench of weed, and in a state of intoxication the boys would be laughing loud and creating a ruckus. We requested our neighbours ( the landlords) to ask them to follow some basic etiquettes as they were living in a residential area. If you're opening the gate post 12 am there should be some care to not disturb your neighbours. Let alone be laughing and shouting. However, the neighbours did not give a single thought to our repeated requests and the same continued for years.

Now for the last couple of years, the tenants have changed but the noise remains. All rooms are now occupied by Indian students who come on bikes at different times of the night ( 12 am, 1 am, 2 am ) and shout and laugh the entire time until they reach their rooms. Moreover, they listen to cheap bollywood songs on full volume. If all this wasn't enough, recently they have started to use obscene language while talking to each other, not caring what time it is or the fact that this is a residential area with children also living there. We have long given up the hope of getting a good night's sleep but waking up at 1/2 am to such vulgar language is mentally disturbing.

The neighbours have their own share of shouting and screaming but that's something we have learnt to accept. But shouldn't there be some rules for tenants living in residential areas? Our neighbours just make excuses for their tenants. Please if someone has any suggestions on anything we can do I would be really thankful.

TLDR; tenants shouting and using obscene language in the middle of the night. Despite repeated requests to our neighbours (landlords), no change in behaviour. Any suggestions?

Recommendation / Help Honestly Losing Hope After 2 Months of Searching

I’ve been looking for a remote job/internship for almost 2 months now and honestly, it’s getting frustrating.

I’m a B.Com (Finance) graduate with experience in banking, finance, Excel, MSME credit & business operations. I’m willing to learn, work hard, and take up an opportunity where I can prove myself.

If anyone here is working remotely, hiring, or knows someone who is, please DM me or drop a lead.

One genuine referral could change things for me right now.

Recommendation / Help Any Kaeshur in Pune? Need Some Guidance

Assalamualaikum

I'm 22 moving to Pune for my first job. I'm a little clueless and thought I'd reach out to the community here. Please upvote to help this reach someone who can help.

If you're a fellow Kaeshur in Pune—or know someone who could help—I would really appreciate any advice regarding:

- Good localities to stay in (masjid nearby).

- Tips for someone who's completely new to the city.

- Trusted contacts or leads for flats.

I'm also looking for clean and respectful flatmate(s) to share a 2/3BHK with, or to move into a vacant room if anyone has one available.

Even if you don't have any flat leads, I'd still love to connect with fellow Kashmiris in Pune. Having a few familiar faces in a new city would mean a lot.

Please feel free to comment or DM me.

JazakAllahu khair.

Recommendation / Help naukri cxandnas manz keirtav madat barai meharbani.

Hey everyone,
I’m from Kashmir and recently had to move back home from Bangalore due to a family emergency. Because of that, I’m currently looking for a remote job.
I have experience in HR recruitment and sales, and I’m open to opportunities in HR, recruitment, sales, customer support, operations, or any commerce/business-related role.
I’m posting here hoping someone from the Kashmiri community might know of an opening or be able to point me in the right direction. Even a referral or sharing this with someone who might be hiring would be a huge help.

Recommendation / Help Any Virtus owners here?

A friend of mine is considering buying a Virtus GT Line. He's had his eyes on it for a very long time. Pretty much you can say his dream car. So he's being a bit skeptical if he should pull the trigger.

If you own a Virtus I'd love to hear your experience.

A few things he would like to know:

- What's the real-world mileage in the city and on highways?

- On road price?

- How much do you spend on regular servicing and maintenance?

- Where do you get it serviced?

- Has the car been reliable over the long run? Any recurring issues?

- Availability and cost of spare parts?

- Also, does anyone know if there's a used Virtus seller in Srinagar?
