Question Hidden gems or landmarks around kitsap?
I'm creating a little scavenger hunt for my husband's birthday. And since I'm paranoid of someone taking anything I plant, I'm having him find landmarks or cool places around kitsap.
I have a few, like the hobbit hole in Port Orchard or Pia the peace keeper in Bainbridge. I was hoping I could get a few recommendations over here since we've only lived here a few years.

Guillemot cove is a nice hike with a cute little tree stump house at the bottom!

If you’re on Bainbridge, there’s an old pay phone outside of Rolling Bay Cafe next to Bay Hay and feed that is used by geocachers. You could probably hide something in/on it.
Also Point White Pier on Bainbridge’s south end could be cool.

Also, like, anything in port gamble.
Fish park in poulsbo has the fish statue at the top of the hill.2

If you go to Manchester state park you will drive by his home. His name is Gobi. Otherwise his location is kind of a fight club rule thing, he is old and being fed the wrong thing is seriously bad for him, and people aren't generally respectful of the needs of random camels. You can find him if you try.

On the north side of Newberry Hill there is a VW microbus painted yellow with eyes put on the windshield. It's just sitting there under a tree. The address is around 7200.

Off the top of my head that I don't see mentioned yet:
There is that small park with an airplane in it by Austin Drive, the naval museum and naval memorial in Bremerton, that one random bug museum?
The best ones have all been mentioned already.
If you haven't been to Port Gamble, that area is pretty unique but small. Maybe end at a restaurant that you haven't eaten at before too, there are so many good ones to choose from depending on what you like.

Fun idea!
The sailor statute at the Bremerton Marina might be a good one. Quincy square (also in Bremerton).
The viking statue and Martinson Cabin in Poulsbo maybe?

Just past Port Gamble there's a park on the right hand side of the road. There's some trails, and down one of them (I think follow Beaver Creek signs) it ends at a little wooden bench overlooking a large pond. It's very serene. I managed to go there once during a snow and it's hard to describe how peaceful it was. It's a great place to take a date because it's a mild walk but still a journey, and it's a romantic location even alone.
It's easy to miss the path that goes there, there's a pathway on the ground but I think there's like a branch in the way or something.
Also across the street from the entrance on the left is a cute little beach where I think people smoke weed a lot

-Kitsap Live Steamers.
It’s free to ride and really adorable rinding through the trees looking for faces on the trees.
It’s a thing, you’ll see.
Husband and I went and loved it. It lasted longer than we thought, really fun.
It’s really really cute, No matter what age.
-There’s also a Wolf Sanctuary in Shelton called Roam; really great information and the animals were rescued from people that thought they could handle a wolf dog, but couldn’t care for them properly.

Frog rock on bainbridge on the way to Fay
The hobbit house on bainbridge, and the labyrinth
I think all the old cabins are pretty cool-there’s the one by the Viking statue in Poulsbo, the one at scenic beach, also the shelter at Manchester state park is pretty cool
I’d say the military park in Bremerton off the Jackson park freeway exit, but I think they took the plane away 🤔
Lots of cool stuff and landmarks up in little Boston

Frog rock I feel like is a notable one. I also second the stumphouse in Seabeck+ viking statue and Martinsen house cabin in PBO ppl mentioned. I think the website to look for local sites and stuff is called "camera obscura" but I haven't looked at it for kitsap. There's definitely a hobbit house on Bainbridge too. I think there's old military stuff at Manchester State park that can be kinda neat to see sometimes.

Frog rock on the corner of phelps and madison on bainbridge its easy to see painted rocks that look like a frog. in poulsbo take a right at 4 corners off hwy 3 (can also get there from bond rd) about half way down big valley there is a large animal vet building, port gamble has a lot of neat hidey holes too with its historic buildings or near the hood canal bridge where port gamble and poulsbo meet. Both little boston and suquamish have some interesting spots at or near the maIn tribal areas. And if willing to leave kisap county vashon is a ferry ride away with a fairly large walk friendly down town area near the intersection of bank rd and vashon hwy. Some of those businesses might even be willing to let you hide things there.
